Recalls that may apply to the 1992 Hyundai Elantra

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
None found.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
19961561996-10-04. Suspension. THE BOLTS FASTENING THE REAR SUSPENSION TRAILING ARM TO THE CHASSIS MAY FAIL. IF ONE OF THESE BOLTS FAIL, THE TRAILING ARM MAY BECOME DETACHED ON ONE SIDE, ALLOWING THE WHEEL TO MOVE REARWARD OF ITS INTENDED POSITION. THIS COULD CHANGE THE HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VEHICLE AND COULD LEAD TO LOSS OF CONTROL AND A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. CORRECTION: DEALERS WILL INSTALL IMPROVED BOLTS ON BOTH MOUNTING POSITIONS OF THE TRAILING ARMS.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
