## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [23V339000](/recalls/nhtsa/23V339000.md), 2023-05-11: CHILD SEAT:VEHICLE LATCH ANCHOR. General Motors, LLC \(GM\) is recalling certain 2020\-2023 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles. The four rear\-seat lower child seat LATCH anchorage bars may have excessive powder coating, which could prevent a child seat from being installed with the anchorage bars. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."
- [20V668000](/recalls/nhtsa/20V668000.md), 2020-10-29: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. General Motors LLC \(GM\) is recalling certain 2018\-2019 Chevrolet Cruze and Buick LaCrosse, 2018\-2020 Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain, 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, 2019\-2020 Buick Encore, Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Acadia, and 2020 Cadillac XT6 vehicles. ## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2023279](/recalls/tc/2023279.md), 2023-05-11: Seats And Restraints. Issue: The coating may be too thick on the connection bars for the lower universal anchorage system \(UAS\) for securing a child or booster seat in the rear seat. As a result, you may not be able to properly attach a child seat in the rear seat using the UAS. Safety Risk: A child seat that isn't properly attached could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the bars for the lower universal anchorage system \(UAS\) in the rear seat. If necessary, the dealer will remove and replace the finish coating on lower anchorage bars. General Motors recommends to install child seats using the rear seat belts, as described in the vehicle owner's manual and child\-seat manufacturer's installation guide, until the recall repairs have been completed.
- [2020520](/recalls/tc/2020520.md), 2020-10-29: Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the start\-stop accumulator in the transmission may be missing bolts. As a result, transmission fluid could leak and eventually cause the transmission to stop working. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A transmission fluid leak onto a hot surface can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the transmission start\-stop accumulator. It will be replaced if any bolts are found missing.
