- [00V258001](/recalls/nhtsa/00V258001.md), 2000-09-08: EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIGHT DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH INCORRECT PAYLOAD INFORMATION ON THE VEHICLE CERTIFICATION LABEL. THE PAYLOAD SHOWN ON THE LABEL IS GREATER THAN THE MAXIMUM VALIDATED PAYLOAD. IF THE VEHICLE WERE LOADED TO THE INCORRECTLY LABELED PAYLOAD, IT MAY NOT RIDE AND HANDLE IN THE MANNER THAT THE DRIVER EXPECTS. Built 1999\-03\-01 to 1999\-11\-30.
- [00V055000](/recalls/nhtsa/00V055000.md), 2000-02-28: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIGHT DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 4\-WHEEL DISC BRAKES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE AN ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM \(ABS\) MOTOR CONTAINING AN OUT\-OF\-SPECIFICATION SPRING CLIP. THIS CLIP COULD ALLOW THE MOTOR BEARING TO BECOME MISALIGNED. IF MISALIGNMENT OCCURS, EVENTUALLY THE ABS WOULD BE NON\-FUNCTIONAL. Built 1999\-08\-01 to 1999\-08\-31.
- [99V220000](/recalls/nhtsa/99V220000.md), 1999-08-11: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: S \-TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 2 WHEEL DRIVE. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE HAD THE RIGHT\-HAND ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM \(ABS\) MODULE FEED PIPE AND/OR BRAKE CROSSOVER PIPE TUBE NUTS TIGHTENED WITHOUT SEATING THE PIPE\-FLARED\-ENDS ENOUGH TO WITHSTAND NORMAL ASSEMBLY AND VEHICLE INPUTS WITHOUT PARTIALLY UNSEATING. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 105, "HYDRAULIC SERVICE BRAKE NORMAL, EMERGENCY, AND PARK BRAKING PERFORMANCE." Built 1999\-03\-01 to 1999\-07\-31.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2000201](/recalls/tc/2000201.md), 2000-09-19: Other. Certain vehicles may have incorrect payload information on the vehicle certification label. The payload shown on the label is greater than the maximum validated payload. If the vehicle is loaded to the incorrectly labeled payload, it may not ride and handle in the manner expected by the operator and could lead to loss of vehicle control and and/or an inability to stop the vehicle within expected stopping distances. Correction: Dealers will install a new label, directing operators to their owner's manual for payload information.
- [2000196](/recalls/tc/2000196.md), 2000-09-15: Seats And Restraints. Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of C.M.V.S.S. 209 \- Seat Belt Assemblies. Vehicles may have seat belt assemblies that will not withstand the force requirements of the standard. In a crash, if the belt buckle fails, there is an increased risk of injury to the occupant. Correction: Suspect buckle assemblies will be replaced.
- [2000055](/recalls/tc/2000055.md), 2000-03-08: Brakes. Certain vehicles may have an Antilock Braking System \(ABS\) motor containing an out of specification spring clip which could in time become misaligned. This could cause retainer bearing friction, higher motor current draw and eventually render the ABS non\-functional. This would cause the warning lights to illuminate and the Dynamic Rear Proportional \(DRP\) system to become inoperative. The base brakes would still remain functional and if the operator were to ignore the red brake warning light, the higher rear brake input could cause rear wheel lock up with the possibility of a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the back pressure module valve assembly.
- [1999151](/recalls/tc/1999151.md), 1999-08-16: Brakes. Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS. 105 \- Hydraulic Brake Systems. The right hand ABS module feed pipe and/or brake crossover pipe tube nuts may have been tightened without seating the pipe flared ends enough to withstand normal assembly and vehicle inputs without partially unseating. If the seating seal is broken, brake fluid leakage could occur. Correction: Dealers will inspect the union for signs of brake fluid and, if necessary, install a new union.
