SOME PICKUP TRUCKS, VANS, AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A HYDRAULIC PUMP DRIVESHAFT THAT CAN FRACTURE, RESULTING IN IMMEDIATE LOSS OF HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING ASSIST.  ON CERTAIN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH HYDRO\-BOOST POWER BRAKES, THE SAME CONDITION CAN RESULT IN LOSS OF POWER ASSIST FOR BRAKING AFTER THE RESERVE PRESSURE IS DEPLETED. Built 1999\-05\-01 to 1999\-10\-31.
- [00V085000](/recalls/nhtsa/00V085000.md), 2000-03-16: STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:HOSE, PIPING, AND CONNECTIONS. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION:  PASSENGER VANS EQUIPPED WITH A BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR.  SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A POWER STEERING COOLER HOSE THAT CAN SEPARATE FROM THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER FLUID FLOW SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Built 1999\-06\-01 to 2000\-01\-31.

- [2005010](/recalls/tc/2005010.md), 2005-01-14: Brakes. Certain vehicles are equipped with a hydraulic pump driveshaft that can fracture, resulting in immediate loss of hydraulic power steering assist.  On certain vehicles equipped with Hydro\-Boost power brakes, the same condition can result in loss of power assist for braking after the reserve pressure is depleted.  Correction: Dealers will replace the hydraulic pump.  This action is deemed a Customer Satisfaction Campaign and is not being conducted under the Safety Act.
- [2000076](/recalls/tc/2000076.md), 2000-03-20: Other. On certain vehicles, the power steering cooler hose may separate from the power brake booster fluid flow switch assembly.  If this occurs, power steering fluid could flow onto hot  engine parts and an engine compartment fire could occur.  Correction:  Dealers will inspect, and, if necessary, install three new screw clamps to the power steering hose joints.
