# Service bulletins for the 2026 Genesis G80

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

15 bulletins from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

- [26\-01\-077G TSB](/bulletins/11038425.md), 2026-10-09, Warranty extension: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES. Certain GV70 Electrified \(JK1A EV\) and G80 Electrified \(RG3 EV\) vehicles may display a false warning light with Diagnostic Trouble Codes \(DTC\) U151A8C and/or U151B8C when vehicle is placed into “Ready” mode. This bulletin provides the procedure for updating the Vehicle Control Unit \(VCU\) software to address this condition.

Some GV70 \(JK1, JK1A\), GV80 \(JX1\) and G80 \(RG3\) vehicles may have a hum or whine noise condition from the rear differential at certain speeds. This bulletin describes the procedure to inspect the vehicle for the hum or whine noise and, if necessary, to tighten the rear differential lock nut to specification. If the hum or whine noise remains after tightening the lock nut, then this bulletin provides instructions to replace the rear differential or other driveline components as necessary.
- [26\-01\-049G DCS](/bulletins/11033843.md), 2026-06-16, Warranty extension: UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Certain G80 \(RG3\) and G90 \(RS4\) vehicles equipped with the 2.5T‑GDI Theta III or 3.5T‑GDI Lambda III engine may experience reduced air‑conditioning performance due to a refrigerant leak originating at the Thermostatic Expansion Valve \(TXV\). This condition may be caused by improper installation of the liquid and suction pipe O‑rings at the TXV connection point. Technical Service Bulletin \(TSB\) 26\-01\-049G provides instructions to replace the TXV O‑rings at the liquid and suction pipe connections to correct the condition.
- [26\-01\-049G TSB](/bulletins/11033842.md), 2026-06-16, Warranty extension: UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Certain G80 \(RG3\) and G90 \(RS4\) vehicles equipped with the 2.5T‑GDI Theta III or 3.5T‑GDI Lambda III engine may experience reduced air‑conditioning performance due to a refrigerant leak originating at the Thermostatic Expansion Valve \(TXV\).This condition may be caused by improper installation of the liquid and suction pipe O‑rings at the TXV connection point. This bulletin provides instructions to replace the TXV O‑rings at the liquid and suction pipe connections to correct the condition.
- [26\-GI\-002G TSB](/bulletins/11033711.md), 2026-06-06, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This bulletin provides information related to the navigation and head unit software changes introduced in the 2026 1st Navigation Map and Software Update. The changes may vary depending on vehicle type, model, and navigation system. Refer to the 2026 1st Navigation Map and Software Update Key Improvements and Additional Improvements tables in this TSB for a list of specific changes. The software can be downloaded via Navigation Updater \(NAU\) and updated by USB.
- [DTN DL](/bulletins/11032523.md), 2026-05-08, Other: AIR BAGS. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration \(NHTSA\) has identified the presence of substandard and dangerous driver’s\-side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. \(DTN\). These inflators were not supplied, approved, or authorized by the vehicle manufacturers and have primarily been found in vehicles that previously experienced a crash and underwent airbag replacement using non\-genuine parts. These dangerous inflators have ruptured during deployment, posing a serious risk of injury or death due to metal fragments entering the vehicle cabin. To date, Hyundai is aware of three people who have died while driving a Hyundai vehicle with one of these substandard replacement airbag inflators that deployed in what likely would have been a survivable crash. NHTSA has issued a public advisory urging vehicle owners and service professionals to have vehicles inspected if there is reason to believe that a non\-genuine replacement airbag may have been installed. Vehicles with salvage or rebuilt titles, prior airbag deployments, or unknown repair histories may present a higher risk. NHTSA strongly cautions against self\-inspection by vehicle owners and recommends inspection by trained technicians.
- [DTN DCS](/bulletins/11032522.md), 2026-05-08, Other: AIR BAGS. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration \(NHTSA\) has issued an urgent safety advisory regarding dangerous, counterfeit driver‑side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. \(DTN\), that have been identified in U.S. vehicles following prior crashes, theft, or non‑certified airbag replacements. These inflators are not approved for use, may rupture during deployment, and have caused serious injuries and fatalities. Please see attached announcement, provided by NHTSA, for more details.
- [26\-01\-035G DCS](/bulletins/11031317.md), 2026-04-15, Service campaign: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit a loss of connectivity or interruptions in the middle of using Connected Car Services \(CCS\) functions. This may be due to an occasional disconnection on Verizon's communication network. Technical Service Bulletin \(TSB\) 26\-01\-035G provides instructions to verify Connected Car Data Communication Unit \(DCU\) network connection and if needed, reset the DCU in Dealer Mode to resolve the connection.
- [26\-01\-035G TSB](/bulletins/11031316.md), 2026-04-15, Service campaign: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit a loss of connectivity or interruptions in the middle of using Connected Car Services \(CCS\) functions. This may be due to an occasional disconnection on Verizon’s communication network. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to verify Connected Car Data Communication Unit \(DCU\) network connection and if needed, reset the DCU in Dealer Mode to resolve the connection.
- [26\-AD\-001G](/bulletins/11030323.md), 2026-03-30, Service bulletin: LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING; EXTERIOR LIGHTING; LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS. Some 2020MY and newer vehicles equipped with a front view camera may illuminate certain warning lights and trigger DTC C272246 fault code for the front camera. In the following cases, the front camera auto\-calibration range may be exceeded while driving: • If the front camera is not properly installed and is completely or partially detached. • In case of excessive changes affecting the vehicle's balance \(e.g., loading excessively heavy cargo in a specific location of the vehicle, or significant under\-inflation of the tires\). • Specific road conditions affecting the vehicle's balance \(e.g., excessive road crown\) This TSB provides instructions on how to service the vehicle when the front camera related warning light\(s\) are triggered due to system out of calibration \(DTC\_C272246\).
