# Service bulletins for the 2025 Genesis G70

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

22 bulletins from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

- [26\-01\-083G TSB](/bulletins/11038475.md), 2026-10-15, Warranty extension: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Certain G70 \(IK\) vehicles equipped with an AVN5W head unit may exhibit the map, navigation, and voice recognition systems not loading after an Over the Air \(OTA\) software update due to an error in the software update logic. This bulletin provides instructions to use a provided USB stick to perform a manual software update to correct this condition.
- [26\-01\-073G TSB](/bulletins/11037283.md), 2026-09-11, Warranty extension: SERVICE BRAKES. Certain G70 \(IK\) vehicles may develop brake disc surface rust due to extended storage prior to delivery. This condition may affect braking smoothness or generate minor noise. This bulletin provides instructions to perform brake disc burnishing or machining on the affected front and/or rear brakes as necessary, to restore proper braking performance.
- [26\-01\-073G DCS](/bulletins/11037282.md), 2026-09-11, Warranty extension: SERVICE BRAKES. Certain G70 \(IK\) vehicles may develop brake disc surface rust due to extended storage prior to delivery. This condition may affect braking smoothness or generate minor noise.
- [26\-BE\-016G TSB](/bulletins/11033841.md), 2026-06-16, Service bulletin: BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS. Some G70 \(IK\) vehicles may exhibit a false notification from the front Parking Distance Warning \(PDW\) sensors when there is no object nearby. This may occur when the parts housing the sensor become loose, causing the sensor to falsely detect objects. There is no functional effect on the vehicle other than the false notification. This bulletin provides the procedure to inspect the vehicle and apply repair\(s\) as needed.
- [26\-GI\-002G TSB](/bulletins/11033711.md), 2026-06-06, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The changes may vary depending on vehicle type, model, and navigation system. Refer to the 2026 1st Navigation Map and Software Update Key Improvements and Additional Improvements tables in this TSB for a list of specific changes. The software can be downloaded via Navigation Updater \(NAU\) and updated by USB.
- [DTN DL](/bulletins/11032523.md), 2026-05-08, Other: AIR BAGS. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration \(NHTSA\) has identified the presence of substandard and dangerous driver’s\-side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. \(DTN\). These inflators were not supplied, approved, or authorized by the vehicle manufacturers and have primarily been found in vehicles that previously experienced a crash and underwent airbag replacement using non\-genuine parts. These dangerous inflators have ruptured during deployment, posing a serious risk of injury or death due to metal fragments entering the vehicle cabin. To date, Hyundai is aware of three people who have died while driving a Hyundai vehicle with one of these substandard replacement airbag inflators that deployed in what likely would have been a survivable crash. NHTSA has issued a public advisory urging vehicle owners and service professionals to have vehicles inspected if there is reason to believe that a non\-genuine replacement airbag may have been installed. Vehicles with salvage or rebuilt titles, prior airbag deployments, or unknown repair histories may present a higher risk. NHTSA strongly cautions against self\-inspection by vehicle owners and recommends inspection by trained technicians.
- [DTN DCS](/bulletins/11032522.md), 2026-05-08, Other: AIR BAGS. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration \(NHTSA\) has issued an urgent safety advisory regarding dangerous, counterfeit driver‑side airbag inflators manufactured by Jilin Province Detiannuo Automobile Safety System Co., Ltd. \(DTN\), that have been identified in U.S. vehicles following prior crashes, theft, or non‑certified airbag replacements. These inflators are not approved for use, may rupture during deployment, and have caused serious injuries and fatalities. Please see attached announcement, provided by NHTSA, for more details.

Some 2020MY and newer vehicles equipped with a front view camera may illuminate certain warning lights and trigger DTC C272246 fault code for the front camera. In the following cases, the front camera auto\-calibration range may be exceeded while driving: • If the front camera is not properly installed and is completely or partially detached. • In case of excessive changes affecting the vehicle's balance \(e.g., loading excessively heavy cargo in a specific location of the vehicle, or significant under\-inflation of the tires\). • Specific road conditions affecting the vehicle's balance \(e.g., excessive road crown\) This TSB provides instructions on how to service the vehicle when the front camera related warning light\(s\) are triggered due to system out of calibration \(DTC\_C272246\).
- [25\-BD\-012H TSB](/bulletins/11025476.md), 2025-11-12, Service bulletin: EXTERIOR LIGHTING.
