Daimler Trucks North America, LLC \(DTNA\) is recalling certain 2020\-2026 Western Star 49X, Freightliner Business Class M2, Freightliner 114SD, Freightliner 108SD, 2021\-2026 Western Star 47X, 2021\-2023 Freightliner 122SD, 2022 Western Star 48X, and 2023 Western Star 4700 vehicles. The axle clamp fasteners may be loose, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.
- [24V668000](/recalls/nhtsa/24V668000.md), 2024-09-10: FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS. Daimler Trucks North America, LLC \(DTNA\) is recalling certain 2024\-2025 Freightliner 108SD, 2022\-2025 Freightliner 114SD, Freightliner Business Class M2, 2025 Freightliner eM2, 2020\-2025 Western Star 49X, 2021\-2025 Western Star 47X, and 2022\-2025 Western Star 57X vehicles that may be upfitted with a body lighting interface controller and replacement brake lights.  The brake lights may not illuminate when the brakes are automatically applied during an active brake assist \(ABA\) event. Built 2023\-06\-07 to 2024\-07\-27.

- [2025610](/recalls/tc/2025610.md), 2025-11-04: Suspension. Issue: On certain trucks, the fasteners for the axle clamp\(s\) may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the clamps could loosen. If this happens, the axle could move and cause a loss of steering control. Note: This recall only affects certain trucks equipped with a TufTrac Gen 2 suspension.  Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.  Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America \(DTNA\) will notify the owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and tighten the axle clamp fasteners. The axle clamp castings will be replaced, as necessary.
- [2024510](/recalls/tc/2024510.md), 2024-09-10: Lights And Instruments. Issue: On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the brake lights not to work when the brakes are automatically applied during emergency braking.  Safety Risk: Brake lights that don't work could cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is braking. This could increase the risk of a crash.  Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America \(DTNA\) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to update the active brake assist \(ABA\) software.
