## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2022311](/recalls/tc/2022311.md), 2022-06-13: Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the shift cable may detach from the transmission. This could cause the transmission not to shift gears when the shifter is moved. As a result, the transmission could be in a different gear than the gear shifter indicates. If a driver attempts to exit the vehicle while the transmission is not in Park, and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle could move suddenly. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the transmission shifter cable bushing and install a protective service cap. Ford advises that you should apply the parking brake each time the vehicle is parked.
- [2021776](/recalls/tc/2021776.md), 2021-12-17: Structure. Issue: On certain vehicles built with a panoramic vista roof, the roof glass may not be properly attached. Over time, the glass can become loose and cause wind noise and water leaks. Eventually, it could separate from the vehicle completely. Note: This recall is an expansion of Ford recall 16S35 \(Transport Canada recall no. 2016\-474\). Safety Risk: A glass roof that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Ford dealer to remove, clean, and reinstall the panoramic roof glass.
- [2021309](/recalls/tc/2021309.md), 2021-05-24: Powertrain. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 2.5 L engine and 6F35 \(6 speed\) transmission. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the transmission shifter cable bushing and install a protective service cap. Ford advises that you should apply the parking brake each time the vehicle is parked.
- [2017184](/recalls/tc/2017184.md), 2017-03-29: Engine. On certain vehicles equipped with 1.6L GTDI engines, low coolant level could lead to localized overheating of the cylinder head, which could cause a fire. This could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a coolant level sensor and supporting hardware and software. Note: Until repair parts are available, owners should regularly check engine coolant level and top up as necessary. Also note for Fiesta, only the ST model vehicles are affected.
- [2016474](/recalls/tc/2016474.md), 2016-09-27: Structure. On certain vehicles, the bond securing the panoramic glass roof panel to the vehicle may be deficient. Reduced adhesion could allow water entry, excessive noise and could cause the fixed glass panel to completely detach from the vehicle. If this were to occur while the vehicle is in motion, the glass panel could possibly strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will remove, clean and reinstall the panoramic roof panel to ensure proper adhesion.
- [2016432](/recalls/tc/2016432.md), 2016-09-06: Structure. On certain vehicles, the pawl spring tab in the side door latch could break. This condition typically will prevent the door from latching. In certain situations where the door is able to be closed, the door may be partially latched and could unlatch while driving. This could increase the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant seated next to the door, or result in damage to property. Correction: If a door will not latch, dealers will replace all four door latches with a more robust part. Note: A door that is partially latched can cause the courtesy light to remain on, set a door ajar message in the instrument cluster and sound a door ajar chime to alert the driver that there is a door latch problem.
- [2015278](/recalls/tc/2015278.md), 2015-06-23: Lights And Instruments. Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101 \- Location and Identification of Controls and Displays. The instrument cluster may not display safety warning lamps/messages, and sound chimes when the ignition key is first turned on, contrary to the requirements of the standard. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the instrument cluster.
- [2015176](/recalls/tc/2015176.md), 2015-04-28: Fuel System. On certain vehicles, improper nickel plating of certain fuel pump internal components could contaminate the pump, potentially resulting in an inoperative fuel pump. This could result in a no\-start condition, or an engine stall without warning and without the ability to restart the vehicle, which could increase the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the Fuel Delivery Module \(FDM\).
- [2014501](/recalls/tc/2014501.md), 2014-11-05: Fuel System. On certain vehicles, fuel lines may have been improperly routed and may wear over time, potentially causing a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect, and if necessary, correct fuel line routing.
- [2014134](/recalls/tc/2014134.md), 2014-04-15: Visual System. Certain vehicles may not comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 205 \- Glazing Materials. The lower edge of the center sun\-shade area of the windshield is not marked in accordance with the requirements of the standard. Correction: No corrective recall action is required as this technical non\-compliance is deemed to be non\-safety related.
