THE UNIQUE SURFACE PROFILE OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL MAY CATCH IN THE CUTOUT ON THE FLOOR CARPETING BEHIND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. Built 2002\-03\-19 to 2004\-04\-01.

- [2006080](/recalls/tc/2006080.md), 2006-04-18: Other. On certain Mustang SVT Cobra vehicles, the accelerator pedal may come into contact with floor carpeting during heavy throttle application.  Interference from the floor carpeting may prevent the accelerator pedal from returning to the idle position when released.  Unexpected continued throttle application and/or increased stopping distances could result in a vehicle crash.  Correction: Dealers will install a bracket over the cut\-out in the carpet behind the accelerator pedal.
