Vehicles operated primarily in a stationary or off\-highway low speed use may exhibit frequent exhaust regeneration attempts. In these conditions, a vehicle may not easily allow for normal exhaust regeneration and may benefit from operator commanded regeneration \(OCR\) capability so it can perform complete exhaust regeneration in a stationary setting.

To perform the manual regeneration, go to the Toolbox tab \> Powertrain \> Service Functions \> Diesel Particulate Regeneration System \> DPF Manual Regeneration. The scan tool may indicate that a regeneration of the DPF is not recommended at this time, selecting YES on this screen will allow the regeneration process to complete. To perform the DPF parameter reset, go to the Toolbox tab \> Powertrain \> Service Functions \> Diesel Particulate Regeneration System \> DPF Parameter Reset.
