Service bulletins for the 2018 Ford F-450
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 19-2083 | 2019-04-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some 2018 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with only diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P00BD, P012F, P0181, P0474, P124C, P1247, P20EE, P205B, P2263, P2269, and/or P2459 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to various strategies within the PCM software. To resolve this condition, update the PCM software and perform a diesel particulate filter (DPF) manual regeneration and, if necessary, a DPF parameter reset according to the Service Procedure. |

| TSB 19-2053 | 2019-04-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty chassis cab/dual rear wheel (DRW) pickup vehicles and 2016- 2019 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an oil consumption concern in applications where the engine is idled for extended periods of time. This may be due to high crankcase pressure as a result of the crankcase ventilation filter element becoming restricted. To resolve the concern, replace the crankcase vent oil separator. The new crankcase vent oil separator appears different from the old crankcase vent oil separator as it no longer includes a serviceable filter element. |
| TSB 18-2365 | 2019-04-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U029D and/or P2209 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to water intrusion. |
| SSM 47712 | 2019-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F650-750 with 6.7L diesel engines, 2015-2019 Transit with 3.2L diesel engines and 2018-2019 F-150 with 3.0L diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C in the powertrain control module (PCM). Review of repair data supports that P206C is often the result of incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Per Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Pinpoint Test (PPT) RJ, a DEF concentration reading below 28% will set P206C and cause vehicle derate. If low concentration is suspected, drain fluid and replace with known good DEF before replacing any parts. Low concentration of DEF is not a warrantable condition. |
| SSM 47740 | 2019-03-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2018 Expedition/Navigator, 2018-2019 F-Super Duty and 2019 E-Series/F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or after 9-Jul-2018 and 2019 F-150/Transit vehicles built on or after 2-Jan-2019 are filled with the new Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant. When servicing the cooling system(s) on these vehicles, use Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant VC-13-G (CVC-13-G for Canada). Do not mix different colors or types of coolant. NOTE: The Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant may appear green in color due to the florescent dye used. |
| TSB 18-2278 | 2018-12-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit a concern where the DEF level indicator appears to be stuck in the full position. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. |
