Service bulletins for the 2020 Ford Expedition
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 20-2170 | 2020-06-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2018-2020 F-150/Expedition/Navigator/F-Super Duty vehicles built on 31-Aug-2018 and through 02-Feb-2020 may exhibit a water leak on the right front floor during and/or after the air conditioning (A/C) is used. This may be due to condensation from the evaporator drain tube entering the vehicle through the drain tube seal. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to install an elbow on the evaporator drain tube to direct the condensation away from the seal. |
| SSM 48860 | 2020-06-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Some 2020 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or before 14-Jan-2020 may exhibit a concern where the Auto-Stop-Start feature restarts the engine after 7 seconds at every stop, no matter how long the vehicle is at a stop. This may be due to the body control module (BCM) configuration. To correct this condition, run the BCM Configuration application using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. For more information on the operation and condition requirements for the Auto Start Stop feature, refer to the Powertrain Control Emission Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual, Section 1 > Powertrain Control Software |
| SSM 48135 | 2019-09-09. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2013-2020 vehicles equipped with an EVDC air conditioning (A/C) compressor may exhibit poor A/C performance/improper climate function. To support the proper diagnosis of this compressor, the EVDC control valve tester has been provided to each U.S. dealership (339-EVDC100). Ensure the A/C system has a full charge prior to any compressor diagnostics. To support the proper diagnosis of this compressor, the EVDC compressor tool must be used, and the results recorded in the Technician comments field with the warranty claim. This tester will help reduce the potential for misdiagnosis and unnecessary compressor replacement. Refer to the Rotunda catalog for a video and user manual which provide detailed operating instructions. |
