THE BUCKLE BASE OF THESE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES WERE NOT PROPERLY HEAT TREATED AND THEREFORE DO NOT PASS THE LOAD BEARING REQUIREMENT OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 209, "SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES." Built 2000\-05\-03 to 2000\-06\-30.

The seat belt assemblies may not withstand the force requirements of the standard.  In a crash, if the belt buckle fails, there is an increased risk of injury to the occupant. Correction: Belt buckle assemblies will be inspected and replaced if necessary.
