Malfunction Indicator Lamp Illumination Due To Oxygen Sensor inspecting for the part number of the transmission harness and based on the part number suffix, determining if the Oxygen Sensor Module Connector requires repair. Some model year 2011 harness' were built with tin plated terminals in 5 of the connector cavities that should have been gold plated. Based on the transmission harness part number, the terminals will be replaced as required.Service Bulletin's 25-004-12 and 18-012-12 REV. A (or later bulletins) must also be performed (if not previously performed). Flash: Diagnostic And System Improvements This bulletin involves diagnosis and selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software or if necessary replacing the PCM based on the DIAGNOSIS. This new software once reprogrammed in the PCM will prevent the need to replace the PCM when the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) listed below occur as a pair. A small number of customers may experience one or more of the symptoms/conditions listed below or a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the Technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTCs): Upon further investigation the Technician may find that any of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes have been set. If any of the following DTC's have been set perform the Diagnosis. ? U0140 - Lost Communication With Body Control Module. Attempting to clear this DTC will be unsuccessful. ? Malfunction Indicator Lamp Illumination Due To Oxygen Sensor This bulletin involves the installation of an Oxygen (O2) Sensor Overlay Harness for any Oxygen Sensor related DTC(s). The Overlay Harness will consist of twelve 18 AWG wires (six from each Oxygen Sensor) that run to a new Oxygen Sensor Module connector. Four wires will be removed from the original vehicle O2 Module connector and installed in the new overlay harness O2 Module connector.Do NOT replace any parts prior to performing this bulletin and the Verifications test below.
