This is part of a two step FOTA update, first update brings software level to 22.61 and this second FOTA update will take the software to 22.64. National launch for this second step is May 24, 2021. Customers may experience one or more of the following:Navigation is incorrect or can not calculate route. GPS locations is inaccurate. Uconnect radio apps are all inoperable. Backup camera screen is blue (DT and KL). Green horizontal lines appear across screen (DT and KL). Anti-theft code request message. Backup camera screen is blank. Lines appear across screen. Radio control screen is blank or locked. Radio reset intermittently. Unable to adjust audio volume. Unable to switch modes between AM, FM, SAT or Media. In addition the following enhancements are included in this update:Carplay® connectivity improvement. Improvement to Bluetooth® phone pairing. Bluetooth devices unresponsive. Improved sound quality when using a Bluetooth phone.

UGQ, UGV, UJV and UJQ Radio Enhancements This bulletin involves inspecting the software level to see if the radio needs oneor two USB flash drive(s) to update the radio software level to 39.2. Customers may experience one or more of the following: Voice recognition (VR) fails while road names are written in Catalan. After the update to software level MR-28.31, the Amperometer inside Jeepskills shows values too high. The radio may lose some or all programmed presets. Volume blocked/uncontrollable. Heating Steering wheel and seat SK greyed out. Eco Drive trips saved issue. Radio may reset, turn itself off and then back on again. Radio display screen lock up. Park assist chime will continue to chime after the vehicle is turned off. Frequent pop-ups during startup saying device not connected - Uconnect LIVE. Radio will display the incorrect speed limit in kph when approaching a roadspeed camera(2018 WK Only). Uconnect Live Apps restricted to only MyCar, ecoDrive and Jeep Skills(2018 WK Only). Russian language missing in the radio setting menu(2018 WK with UGQ Only). If the radio is set for Russian language, UConnect displays unknown symbolson the ?Off Road Page?(2018 WK with UGQ Only). When vehicle is first started the radio will reset and the time display shows 12:00. Audio distortion and volume fluctuation. Blank rear camera image in reverse (If this is the customer concern use camera LOP 18-60-02-Y7 on JL vehicles only). Audio cutting in and out during memory recall. Ring tone too loud. AM/FM volume fluctuates. While in CarPlay® or AndroidAuto,® Google® maps showing wrong location. Phone disconnected after first call. Black screen or White screen with vertical lines. PIN clear and volume locked while KeySense is used. Audio static while in SXM/SAT modes. Echo heard during Bluetooth phone calls. The radio is locked up. The radio remains on after ignition has been turned off. The radio resets. The radio screen turns black. The radio screen shows messages ?Software Update? or ?Reinsert USB Device? and displays that screen in a continuous loop.
