18-007-13 REV. A2018-02-21. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. MIL Illumination P0300 and/or Engine Runs Rough With Factory Fill Fuel This bulletin involves filling the fuel tank with an additional 5 gallons of fuel, driving vehicle, then completing several start/stop cycles. The vehicles involved in this bulletin may contain factory fill fuel that exceeds allowable Driveability Index (DI) levels. The MIL lamp may be illuminated and upon further investigation the Technician may find DTC P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire has been set active or stored. The Technician may also notice the engine running rough on initial startup (with or without the MIL illuminated).

The door weatherstrip seals on all models and decklid weatherstrip seals on 300's and Chargers have been contaminated during part processing and it will create an odor in the passenger compartment.

The vehicles involved in this bulletin may contain factory fill fuel that exceeds allowable Driveability Index (DI) levels. NOTE: A Service Porter will be able to complete all necessary repair procedure steps with the exception of Step 7. Only in situations where Step 7 is necessary, should vehicle be dispatched to a Service Technician to clear DTCs. The MIL lamp may be illuminated and upon further investigation the Technician may find DTC P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire has been set active or stored. The Technician may also notice the engine running rough on initial startup (with or without the MIL illuminated).

Release Of New Engine Coolant Organic Additive Technology (OAT) Chrysler Corporation LLC. has released a new engine coolant for the 2013 model year vehicles and beyond, for all engine applications except the ones listed in the note above. This new coolant is an Organic Additive Technology (OAT) (Fig. 1). OAT coolants have a service interval of 10 years or 150,000 miles. For heavy duty truck and extreme duty cycle applications refer to the Service Information or Owner's Manual for proper maintenance schedules.
