Flash: RA3/RA4 Radio Software Enhancements This bulletin involves inspecting and if required, updating the radio software. A small number of customers may experience one or more of the following: ? **?Navigation Failed? message is displayed. ? Navigation is inoperative or inaccurate. ? CD player will not play songs and/or locks up the radio. ? The clock will not automatically update to local time. ? The clock may be off by several hours (RA3 only). ? HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles). ? Some Uconnect App remote commands do not execute with the vehicle. ? Radio Apps are inoperative. ? Radio will lock up. Radio display screen is black or blank. Battery drain due to radio staying on.** Rearview Camera image appears jittery (UF vehicles only). Inability to establish a WiFi connection when security feature is enabled (UF vehicles only). Audio distortion/popping heard while playing Apple devices through the USB port (UF vehicles only). Remote Uconnect Apps functions (i.e. door locks, remote start) inoperative while the engine is running (UF vehicles only). HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles). Intermittently blind spot chime will not turn off (KL vehicles only). The radio may switch from SiriusXMT to an AM station by itself. Uconnect registration always present, can not remove Uconnect account. Audio muted after AUX device is disconnected. The Radio does not control phone/Hands Free functionality, it is separate from the radio, test and diagnose the Hands Free Module accordingly.~ Issue 2; Radio inoperative, no power, display no power or screen is blank.~ Blank Screen with Audio: The ICS is a separate module from the radio. If attempting to replace the display (ICS), do not order a radio part number. Instead, order p/n Z5064993A$ for an exchange or 05064993A$ for a new part replacement.~ Issue 3.; If the radio ICS/touchscreen display appears to reset intermittently, it turns white then black and functionality returns....Please contact Leony Gonzalez at cell (248) 736-1267 or Dave Clemons at cell (248) 520-0419. Engineering is currently root causing this issue and your assistance is greatly appreciated. If unable to reach this person within 15 minutes, then proceed with the necessary repair. 90037042020-08-24. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN. Transmission Oil Pan, Heater (TMU), Tube or O-ring Applies to vehicles equipped with 8 speed transmissions only; if you have a leak that appears to be at the pan the use of proper leak detection is recommended. The fluid in the 8 speeds can be detected with a black light and there are aftermarket spray on leak detection materials to help ensure that the leak is properly diagnosed and not from another location such as cooler lines, heater tubes, or case porosity. Please note that the transmission pan gasket is available for many of the 8 speed applications FCA offers. Please review the available quick connect and transfer tube parts, as replacement of the TMU may not be required. If a TOC line connection is found to be the source, the quick connect may need replacement. If the leak source is coming from the connection of the TMU to the transmission, the transfer tube may need replacement. When parts are returned to the QEC the retaining clips (snap ring) for the quick disconnect fittings are missing. (This leaves a question as to whether the clips were missing from the assembly plant, or the technician removed them in order to make line removal easier.) Please return the clips with the transmission heater and note if they were not there to begin with. For any questions regarding transmission heater, contact FCA Redacted Content. If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair.
