- [18V267000](/recalls/nhtsa/18V267000.md), 2018-04-26: EQUIPMENT. General Motors LLC \(GM\) is recalling certain 2009\-2014 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD, 2009 GMC Topkick 5000, 6000, 7000 and 8000 Series and Isuzu F Series, and 2009\-2018 Chevrolet Express, and GMC Savana vehicles, equipped with certain Plastic\-Handle Fire Extinguishers or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. For a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC\-17E062\-5427.pdf Built 2008\-10\-13 to 2013\-11\-06.
- [17V664000](/recalls/nhtsa/17V664000.md), 2017-10-19: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:AUXILLARY TANK. General Motors LLC \(GM\) is recalling certain 2011\-2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 and GMC Sierra 3500 trucks equipped with dual fuel tanks. The low fuel level sensor for the front tank may stick causing the rear tank to overfill the front tank. Built 2010\-05\-24 to 2015\-09\-30.
- [14V827000](/recalls/nhtsa/14V827000.md), 2014-12-30: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION. - [13V615000](/recalls/nhtsa/13V615000.md), 2013-12-11: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. General Motors LLC \(GM\) is recalling certain model year 2012\-2013 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD vehicles, equipped with 6.6L diesel engines and dual fuel tanks. In the affected vehicles, the transfer pump which moves fuel from the rear tank to the front tank could malfunction and cause the fuel gauge to indicate an inaccurate reading. Built 2012\-04\-01 to 2012\-05\-19.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2021028](/recalls/tc/2021028.md), 2021-02-05: Airbag. Issue: On certain vehicles, long\-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger\-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Safety Risk: If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. Corrective Action: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the passenger\-front airbag. Note: The Canadian climate results in the propellant degrading slowly. This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. It is expected that all airbag inflators will be replaced before their function would be affected.
- [2021025](/recalls/tc/2021025.md), 2021-02-05: Airbag. Issue: Long\-term exposure to high absolute humidity and temperature, combined with high temperature cycling, may eventually degrade the propellant contained in the passenger\-front airbag. This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants or cause damage to the airbag assembly, preventing its proper function. Note: This recall is for vehicles that were originally sold or ever registered in certain areas of the United States that experience high or moderate levels of heat and humidity, and that were subsequently imported into Canada. Affected states: American Samoa and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Guam, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, the Northern Mariana Islands \(Saipan\), Virginia and West Virginia. Safety Risk: If the vehicle is involved in a crash requiring an airbag deployment, the airbag inflator could rupture and create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the passenger\-front airbag inflator. Note: This recall is being conducted as a precaution to address future risk. It is expected that all airbag inflators will be replaced before their function would be affected.
- [2017511](/recalls/tc/2017511.md), 2017-10-20: Fuel System. On certain vehicles equipped with gasoline engines and dual fuel tanks, the fuel level sensor in the front tank could become stuck in the low level position, causing the rear tank to overfill the front tank. If this occurs, the front tank could expand and come in contact with the moving drive shaft which, over time, could create a hole in the front tank and cause a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the rear tank fuel pump module or flash the vehicle software. Dealers will also inspect the front tank for damage and replace it as necessary.
- [2015002](/recalls/tc/2015002.md), 2014-12-30: Electrical. On certain vehicles, a defect in the ignition lock cylinder could cause the key to stick in the "start" position if the vehicle interior temperature is sufficiently high. If the vehicle is operated in this condition and the interior temperature cools or the vehicle goes off\-road or is subjected to some other jarring event, the key could move out of the "start" position, rotate past the "run" position and into the "accessory" position. If this were to occur, engine power, power steering and power braking would be affected, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. The timing of the key movement out of the “run” position, relative to the activation of the sensing algorithm of the crash event, may also result in the airbags not deploying in a subsequent collision, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the steering column for identifying information and replace if necessary.
- [2013438](/recalls/tc/2013438.md), 2013-12-13: Fuel System. On certain pickup trucks equipped with a 6.6L diesel engine and dual fuel tanks, the fuel tank transfer pump may malfunction, stopping the transfer of fuel from the rear tank to the front tank. This could cause the fuel gauge to display an inaccurate reading, and cause the front tank to become empty while fuel remains in the rear tank. This could result in engine stalling which, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions, and driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel transfer pump.
