19961601996-10-07. Steering. On certain vehicles, the intermediate steering shaft may become loose at the steering shaft to steering gear coupling. With this looseness the yoke pinch bolt can wear on the splines of the shaft until there is no longer an interference between the splines and the bolt. This could cause the steering shaft to separate from the steering gear resulting in a total loss of steering control. Correction: Dealers will retorque the yoke pinch bolts.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
