Recalls that may apply to the 2022 Chevrolet Malibu

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
22V9230002022-12-14. STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS. General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Chevrolet Malibu vehicles. The front impact bar, a structural portion of the vehicle frame, may not be properly welded to the front frame rail.
Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20227112022-12-14. Structure. Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the front bumper impact bar may not be welded correctly. As a result, the front crash sensors may not work properly. This could cause the airbag system not to work properly in a crash. Safety Risk: Airbags that do not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the welds on the front bumper impact bar.

A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
