A sound file or video with sound of the noise needs to be made prior to dis-assembly to help isolate to one area in the engine. There are four different steps to diagnosis the concern. This communication was updated to include the 2017, 2018, and 2019 model years.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have an intermittent no crank, no start, or start stall concern with the security light coming on. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes B3055, B3060, and/or B3935. Technician should not replace any parts for this concern. If unable to duplicate the concern ask if the customer uses any Radio Frequency Identification Devices when the concern is present. Dealer should also direct their customers to the appropriate section in the Owner manuals that references that the device complies.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have run hot and or has a tick noise. Technician should inspect the head gaskets to ensure are not installed backwards. Technician should replace the head gasket if they are found installed backwards.
PIP5545B2019-03-18. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. This Preliminary information communicates a possible noise from the water pump causing a DTC and the diagnostics for the repair.

This Preliminary information communicates to the dealer additional information on checking for the engne crankcase being overfull on oil causing an engine vibration concern. The technician is advised to inspect for contaminnants and adjust the engine oil level as needed.

A lifter may not have sufficient amount of oil during cold start operation (not pumped up). As information comes in the Pi will be updated and when the final repair is out this this PI will be changed to a Bulletin
PIP5568C2018-12-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE. This Preliminary information communicates there is an investigation into cause and correction for this group of DTC's setting together. (P0011, P0014, P0021, P0024). Revised to include the possibility of setting in pairs and some drivability concerns.
