## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2020291](/recalls/tc/2020291.md), 2020-06-25: Steering. Issue: On certain vehicles, the bolts that attach the electric power steering assist motor to the steering gear may corrode and break. This could cause a loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A loss of power steering assist may result in a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low vehicle speeds. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the bolts that attach the electric power steering motor and apply a protective wax coating. If the bolts cannot be removed due to corrosion, the steering gear will be replaced.
- [2018463](/recalls/tc/2018463.md), 2018-08-30: Steering. On certain vehicles originally sold or currently registered in areas of heavy road salt usage during winter months \(Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland \& Labrador\), the bolts that attach the electric power steering assist motor to the steering gear housing may corrode and break. This could cause a loss of power steering assist. The resulting increase in steering effort could create the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the mounting bolts and apply a corrosion protection coating to the gear housing and bolts. If the bolts bolt cannot be removed, a replacement steering gear will be installed.
- [2015390](/recalls/tc/2015390.md), 2015-09-03: Electrical. On certain 4\-door sedans, the coil antenna module located in the driver side rear pillar, which powers the rear defogger system, could generate significant temperatures if the module is subjected to excessive cycling or continuous operation. This could result in a fire developing inside the rear pillar on the driver’s side of the vehicle, which could cause injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the Electronic Climate Control \(ECC\) module software to remove the automatic rear defogger “on” function that occurs as a result of manual or remote start of the vehicle. 2013 models also have a “continuous on” feature \(enabled at highway speeds in low temperatures\) that will also be disabled. Note: The base functionality of the rear defogger will not be lost.
- [2015322](/recalls/tc/2015322.md), 2015-07-21: Electrical. Certain vehicles equipped with power\-operated sunroof system may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(CMVSS\) 118 \- Power\-Operated Window, Partition and Roof Panel Systems. The roof panels could close automatically when the non\-recessed portion of the “Slide” or “Tilt” switches are pressed and the roof panel is open, which is contrary to the standard. The switch could be more susceptible to an inadvertent actuation, which could result in unintended auto\-closure of the roof panel, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the roof console accessory switch trim plate. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2015\-075. Vehicles having been serviced as part of the previous recall will require re\-inspection and repair.
- [2015075](/recalls/tc/2015075.md), 2015-02-19: Electrical.
- [2014343](/recalls/tc/2014343.md), 2014-08-11: Seats And Restraints. On certain vehicles, the front outboard driver and passenger seatbelt pretensioners may not function as designed in the event of a crash. The pretensioners could retract upon deployment but fail to lock in the retracted position, allowing the seat belt to return to the original position. This could increase the risk of injury in a crash that warrants seatbelt pretensioner deployment. Correction: Dealers will replace affected pretensioners.
- [2014315](/recalls/tc/2014315.md), 2014-07-29: Seats And Restraints. On certain vehicles, the hook bracket assembly for either front seat may have been manufactured with an incomplete weld. If the weld is incomplete and the assembly is exposed to a high load condition, the hook may separate from the seat track. This could increase the risk of occupant injury during a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect the weld, and if necessary, replace the lower seat track.
- [2014239](/recalls/tc/2014239.md), 2014-06-19: Powertrain. On certain vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, the shift cable may not be fully seated on the shifter and/or transmission bracket. If the cable were to detach, the driver may not be able to select a different gear position, or place the transmission in the PARK position. If the driver cannot place the vehicle in the PARK position and exits the vehicle without applying the parking brake, the vehicle could roll away, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and ensure the cable is fully seated at the transmission and at the shifter bracket.
- [2013356](/recalls/tc/2013356.md), 2013-10-16: Lights And Instruments. On certain vehicles, the brake lamps could flash intermittently without the brake pedal being depressed. This would convey a confusing message to following road users who, in turn, may not react in a timely manner when the driver does apply the brakes. As such, this could result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the Body Control Module. Note: This recall supersedes 2013\-176.
- [2013176](/recalls/tc/2013176.md), 2013-05-24: Lights And Instruments.
