| 1984129 | 1984-10-15. THE THROTTLE LINKAGE RETAINING CLIP MAY INTERFERE WITH THE THROTTLE BODY CASTING DURING NORMAL ROTATION OF THE THROTTLE LEVER. THIS COULD ALLOW THE ACCELERATOR LINKAGE TO BIND AND PREVENT THE THROTTLE FROM CLOSING. iF THIS WERE TO OCCUR, VEHICLE SPEED WOULD REMAIN CONSTANT EVEN THOUGH THE DRIVER HAS REMOVED HIS FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. LOSS OF ACCELERATOR CONTROL COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. |
