## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [24V910000](/recalls/nhtsa/24V910000.md), 2024-12-05: STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS; AIR BAGS. BMW of North America, LLC \(BMW\) is recalling certain 2025 X4 xDrive 30i, X4 M40i and X4 M vehicles.  The inner\-left roof frame near the head air bag may have a crack that can damage the head air bag during deployment.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2026331](/recalls/tc/2026331.md), 2026-07-08: Engine. Issue: On certain vehicles, the engine starter may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the starter could overheat. Note: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2026\-040.  Safety Risk: A starter that overheats can create the risk of a fire.  Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, BMW recommends not using the remote start function and not leaving the vehicle unattended with the engine running until the recall repairs have been completed. BMW will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the engine starter.
