## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2026361](/recalls/tc/2026361.md), 2026-07-23: Electrical. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the ignition lock could wear and lose electrical contact. As a result, the engine could stall while riding. This could also cause the brake lamp, turn signals, anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) and instrument cluster not to work. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. A brake lamp or turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when a rider is braking, intends to turn, or change lanes, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, a loss of ABS function could extend stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW Motorrad will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to update the motorcycle software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the ignition lock.
