## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [21V060000](/recalls/nhtsa/21V060000.md), 2021-02-08: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. BMW of North America, LLC \(BMW\) is recalling certain 2011\-2014 S 1000 RR/R/ HP4, R 1200 GS/GS Adventure/R/RT, K 1300 S, K 1600 GT/GTL/GTL Exclusive and 2014 R nine T motorcycles. The fuel pump, and auxiliary fuel pump in certain models, may crack and leak fuel during vehicle operation.
- [12V487000](/recalls/nhtsa/12V487000.md), 2012-10-05: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. BMW is recalling certain model year 2007\-2008 K1200 S, K1200 R, and K1200 R Sport motorcycles and 2012 and 2013 K1300 S motorcycles. In October 2012, BMW recalled 2062 2007\-2008 K1200 S, K1200 R, and K1200 R Sport motorcycles. In November 2012, BMW informed the agency that it was adding model year 2012 and 2013 K1300 S \(including HP Limited Edition\) motorcycles to the recall campaign, representing an additional 421 units. The total number of motorcycles being recalled is now 2,483. In certain riding conditions, the brake fluid in the front brake fluid reservoir can foam. Built 2012\-01\-05 to 2012\-10\-30.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2021056](/recalls/tc/2021056.md), 2021-02-09: Fuel System. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the fuel pump flange could crack. If this happens, fuel could leak while the engine is running. Note: This is an expansion of recall 16 002 20 \(014\) \(Transport Canada Recall No. 2020\-437\). Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the fuel pump and auxiliary fuel pump \(if equipped\) with an improved version.
- [2014485](/recalls/tc/2014485.md), 2014-10-30: Tires. On certain motorcycles equipped with a Continental ContiSportAttack or ContiSportAttack2 front tire, a separation may develop between the thread, belt and carcass. This could potentially result in rapid air loss and/or tire failure, which could affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace affected tires.
- [2012334](/recalls/tc/2012334.md), 2012-10-04: Brakes. On certain motorcycles, vibration, particularly on a long ride at constant high engine rpm and on engine overrun at high rpm, can, under certain circumstances, cause foaming of the brake fluid in the reservoir of the front brakes. This foaming may cause air to enter into the brake system, which can severely diminish the braking efficiency of the front brakes. Extended stopping distance may result in a vehicle crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a screen insert into the front brake fluid reservoir.
