## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [20V471000](/recalls/nhtsa/20V471000.md), 2020-08-10: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. BMW of North America, LLC \(BMW\) is recalling certain 2009\-2011 K1300 \(S, GT\), 2010\-2011 S1000 RR, 2005\-2011 R1200 \(GS, GS Adventure, R, RT, S, ST\), 2006\-2010 HP2 \(Enduro, Megamoto, Sport\), 2005\-2008 K1200 \(R, R Sport, S, GT\), and 2012 K1600 \(GT, GTL\) motorcycles that were repaired under recall 13V\-617 with the support ring remedy and where the fuel pump was not replaced at a later date. This recall involves the fuel pump, and also the auxiliary fuel pump as applicable. The affected motorcycles have a fuel pump flange that may crack, possibly resulting in a fuel leak while the engine is running.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2020437](/recalls/tc/2020437.md), 2020-09-16: Fuel System. Issue: On certain motorcycles, the fuel pump flange could crack. If this happens, fuel could leak while the engine is running. Note: This recall only affects motorcycles that did not have the fuel pump replaced under Transport Canada recall 2013\-442. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the fuel pump and auxiliary fuel pump \(if equipped\) with an improved version.
- [2017428](/recalls/tc/2017428.md), 2017-09-01: Lights And Instruments. Certain motorcycles with dealer installed accessory turn signals may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard \(CVMSS\) 108 \- Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. The size of the lens on the accessory turn signals may be too small, and therefore would not meet the requirements of the standard. This could reduce vehicle conspicuity to following and approaching road users, and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the accessory turn signals with factory indicators that meet the requirements of the standard.
- [2015101](/recalls/tc/2015101.md), 2015-03-11: Powertrain. On certain motorcycles, the threaded holes on the rear wheel flange could crack if the wheel bolts are tightened beyond the specified torque limit during servicing. Over time, this could allow the bolts to back out of their threaded holes, causing the rear wheel to become loose. This could result in a loss of stability of the motorcycle, and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the aluminum rear wheel flange with a steel flange.
- [2008418](/recalls/tc/2008418.md), 2008-11-19: Lights And Instruments. Certain motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 108 \- Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment. The front turn signals were installed in an improper location. As a result, the rider's intentions to turn may not be conveyed clearly to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the turn signal base.
- [2008395](/recalls/tc/2008395.md), 2008-10-30: Suspension. On certain motorcycles, due to build tolerances and the length of front threaded fastener used on the Paralever link, there is a possibility that the fastener may come loose due to insufficient torque and over time separate from its housing. This situation could compromise the handling of the motorcycle which could result in a crash causing property damages, personal injuries or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the existing fastener with an improved version.
