BMW IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007 AND 2008 G 650 X COUNTRY, G 650 X CHALLENGE, AND G650 X MOTO MOTORCYCLES MANUFACTURED FROM NOVEMBER 29, 2006 THROUGH MAY 19, 2008.  OVER TIME, THE ROLL GEAR PIN'S MOUNTING ATTACHMENT COULD BREAK. Built 2006\-12\-22 to 2008\-05\-19.

- [2010229](/recalls/tc/2010229.md), 2010-07-14: Powertrain. On certain motorcycles, the chain roll pin roller \(between the fuel tank and the top chain run\) could break.  If fragments become lodged between the chain and pinion, it could cause the rear wheel to lock, which could result in a crash.  Correction: Dealers will replace the bracket of the top chain take\-up roller.
