Service bulletins for the 2014 Bentley Flying Spur

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Rear Seat Entertainment - field update (SC15/09) Technical background: A number of Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) functions were unavailable for release at vehicle launch To enable the complete suite of functions a software update is available. NOTE: This campaign supersedes the previous TPI 2039770 Rear Seat Entertainment - optional upgrade. The kit content for TPI 2039770 contained memory stick part number WT10336. This must be discarded and replaced with memory stick part number WT10336A before carrying out this campaign. Vehicles that have previously had TPI 2039770 performed do not require this campaign. Remedy: All vehicles fitted with RSE at time of manufacture up to VIN SCBEC9ZA0FC047407 should have the RSE system updated using the process detailed in this document

Measure: Cars prior to VIN SCBEN53W9EC095610 that exhibits the deep sleep failure to recover can have the TSR remote replaced. No other parts should be replaced in respect to this failure. The replacement TSR should contain either SW0074 or SW0077.

Workshop may discover spurious fault codes whilst running a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) log as part of other investigations on the vehicle. Technical Background: The attached document contains all of the current known Spurious DTCs for all vehicle variants. Should a particular TPI be listed as Archived within the attached document the TPI can no longer be viewed within Elsa pro, in this case please refer to the instructions with the attached document regarding the DTC description and actions (if any) which should be conducted Service: During routine diagnostic interrogation of vehicle systems use the attached document to determine the course of action to be taken.
2053492/52020-01-09. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SUSPENSION. Condition: The front and/or rear suspension appears to have dropped. Technical Background: The list of Bentley vehicles below are fitted with air springs as part of the suspension system. Should air leak from the air springs, this will cause the suspension to drop. However, the dropping of the suspension does not necessarily mean that the air spring is faulty. The Measure section of this TPI describes how and where to check for air leaks on the front and rear air springs, the air pump compressor, pipes, valve unit and air reservoirs. This includes potential air leak points on the air springs and also the locations of an air leak that can be repaired without the need to replace an air spring. Please follow and complete the check list within the Measure section of this TPI to help in diagnosing the issue (the check list does not need to be sent as an attachment should a DISS technical query be raised) . Should a leak be found from an air spring, compressor, valve unit or reservoir, please raise a DISS technical query and include as much information as possible including photograph/s of the leak/s location. Once the DISS ticket has been submitted please await clarification from your TSC before commencing with replacing any of the suspected faulty air springs. Mandatory reporting is applicable for all air spring related issues.
