Service bulletins for the 2019 Bentley Continental

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

828 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

Customer statement/workshop findings: Customer statement: Emission control warning signal displayed, engine misfire Workshop findings: Event entries in engine control unit relating to cylinder misfires – excessive carbon build up to leading to cylinder leakage and spark plug foul Technical background: Deviations in the country-specific fuel specifications can lead to carbon deposits on the injectors. If pronounced these deposits can lead to spark plug fouling, cylinder leakage and fouled injectors all influencing combustion in the cylinder. As a result the above event entries are logged in the engine control unit
2057978/42020-11-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT. Engine Lubricating Oil - Replenishment. Customer statement / workshop findings: Engine lubricating oil lamp illuminated on driver instrument panel. Engine lubricating oil requires topping up between services. Technical background: In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified running-in periods consume more oil during the running-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the running-in period. Refer to the Owners Manual for specific running-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, ambient temperature and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue, and the oxidation level of the oil. Certain driving conditions may negatively influence the rate of oil consumption. This can occur while the vehicle is operated in city driving conditions, for example: stop and go traffic with extended idle periods.
2050334/62020-11-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Ticking noise from engine bay. Customer statement/workshop findings: Ticking noise emanating from rear of Bank 1 cylinder head Technical background: Noise from failed vacuum pump

Customer statement/workshop findings: Customer statement: Emission control warning signal displayed, engine misfire Workshop findings: Event entries in engine control unit relating to cylinder misfires excessive carbon build up to leading to cylinder leakage and spark plug foul Technical background: Deviations in the country-specific fuel specifications can lead to carbon deposits on the injectors. If pronounced these deposits can lead to spark plug fouling, cylinder leakage and fouled injectors all influencing combustion in the cylinder. As a result the above event entries are logged in the engine control unit
2060205/12020-08-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Bentayga - Engine Cooling System - DTC P218100. Customer statement / workshop findings: Emission Control Lamp illuminated on Driver Instrument Panel. The time to reach the correct engine coolant operating temperature has increased. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P218100 - Cooling System Performance is stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM), the vehicle warm up time is longer when compared to other vehicles of the same type. Technical background: It is possible for the engine coolant Thermostat to corrode over time, this corrosion is due to an adverse reaction of the Thermostat material with the engine coolant. The corrosion and subsequent build-up of debris prevents the correct operation of the thermostat when closing, resulting in over cooling. The ECM triggers a DTC when the target engine temperature is outside of the specified parameter.
2028808/42020-08-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine oil. Specific oil type and oil consumption reference. Customer statement / workshop findings: Engine oil level requires to:p up between services. Technical background The use of the correct oil for each engine type is critical for its continued performance, reliability and ultimately warranty. The workshop manual should always be the first point of reference, ensuring the correct lubricant is used for each specific model year and engine type Should oil be required the parts catalogue must be referred to ensuring the correct VIN is always used when ordering
