# Recalls that may apply to the 2008 Autocar WXR

A recall listed here may apply to a vehicle of this year, make and model. Only the manufacturer can say whether it applies to one vehicle: check the VIN with the official lookups.

## United States (NHTSA), as of 2026-10-19

- [10V305000](/recalls/nhtsa/10V305000.md), 2010-06-28: FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. MCNEILUS IS RECALLING CERTAIN TRUCKS BUILT ON AUTOCAR CHASSIS. DURING THE REFUSE BODY MOUNTING PROCESS, CHASSIS AIR TANKS MAY BE RELOCATED TO FACILITATE MOUNTING OF THE BODY. AIRLINES TO THE AIR HOLDBACK VALVE MAY HAVE BEEN RECONNECTED INCORRECTLY AFTER A TANK\(S\) WAS RELOCATED. Built 2002\-08\-02 to 2010\-04\-30.
- [10V045000](/recalls/nhtsa/10V045000.md), 2010-02-18: STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS:UNDERBODY SHIELDS. AUTOCAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007\-2009 WX AND WXR HEAVY DUTY CLASS 8 LCOE VEHICLES. THE AFFECTED VEHICLES MAY DEVELOP CRACKS IN THE TOP FLANGE OF THE FRONT FRAME RAIL EXTENSION. OVER TIME, THE CRACK MAY PROPAGATE ACROSS THE EXTENSION BRACKET, POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE EXTENSION BRACKET TO DEFORM UNDER LOAD. THESE TIRES ARE ALL ASYMMETRICAL TREAD PATTERNS WITH "OUTER" INDICATED ON THE OUTSIDE SIDEWALL. THE OUTSIDE SIDEWALL CONTAINS THE FULL TIRE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER INCLUDING THE PRODUCTION DATE CODE. Built 2006\-10\-30 to 2009\-10\-16.
- [07V513000](/recalls/nhtsa/07V513000.md), 2007-11-02: EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS. CERTAIN TRUCKS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF PART 568, 'VEHICLES MANUFACTURED IN TWO OR MORE STAGES, ALL INCOMPLETE, INTERMEDIATE AND FINAL\-STAGE MANUFACTURERS OF VEHICLES MANUFACTURED IN TWO OR MORE STAGES.' THE GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING \(GVWR\) LABEL, AS APPLIED, MAY NOT BE ACCURATE. THE GVWR LABEL MAY INDICATE THAT THE VEHICLE'S LOAD CAPACITY IS HIGHER THAN THE DESIGNED WEIGHT RATING. Built 2007\-07\-13 to 2007\-09\-28.
- [07V290000](/recalls/nhtsa/07V290000.md), 2007-07-05: PARKING BRAKE. ON CERTAIN HEAVY DUTY CLASS 8 VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH BENDIX SR\-7 SPRING BRAKE MODULATING VALVES, THE INTERNAL RUBBER CHECK VALVE MAY LEAK CAUSING A DELAY IN THE APPLICATION OF THE SPRING BRAKES TO PARK THE VEHICLE AFTER THE OPERATOR PULLS THE DASH VALVE BUTTON. Built 2006\-02\-24 to 2007\-06\-09.

## Canada (Transport Canada), as of 2026-10-19

- [2010055](/recalls/tc/2010055.md), 2010-03-01: Structure. Certain vehicles may develop cracks in the top flange of the front frame rail extension. Over time, the crack may propagate across the extension bracket, potentially causing the extension bracket to deform under load. This may compromise vehicle control, which may result in a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will reinforce the front frame extensions.
- [2007355](/recalls/tc/2007355.md), 2007-11-06: Label. On certain trucks, the certification label does not contain the correct Gross Vehicle Weight Rating \(GVWR\). The label may indicate that the vehicle's load capacity is higher than the designed weight rating. As a result, the vehicle could be overloaded without the operator's knowledge. A vehicle in an overloaded condition may be susceptible to component failure that may result in loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will install updated labels.
