Service bulletins for the 2004 Audi TT

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

131 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

SM 44-2017 EN2019-04-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. This special notice is to inform dealers to return all part numbers listed in the document and order the superseded part numbers going forward.
A611523 2010342-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 61 number 13-21 dated September 3, 2013. Convertible top exterior cloth appears soiled. The convertible top is made of durable fabric that has been treated at the factory with a compound that helps repel dirt and water. With proper care, the cloth will retain its function and proper appearance for a long time. It is normal, however, for the fabric to slightly change color as it ages. This is particularly true of lighter-color tops. The cloth tension changes when the top is opened, which can cause kinks. When the top is closed, the kinks improve after a short time. However, these material-related kinks can never be completely avoided. In addition, dirt and dust can deposit in the kinks. If these dirt and dust deposits are not properly removed in a car wash, they can contribute to poor appearance.
A1915612025303-52018-02-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 19 number 14-50 dated June 20, 2014. Discontinuation and mixing of Audi-approved engine coolants. G11, G12, and G12+ coolants have been replaced by an improved version. G12++ coolant (for service available) has been introduced in MY 2005 for all engines. G13 has been introduced in MY 2008 as factory filling and service.

A641436 2020552-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD. Windshield is streaked, has a snakeskin appearance, or its surface feels rough. Residue from industrial fallout as well as normal road dirt and grime may accumulate on windshield.
A441455 2010334-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. WHEELS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-46 dated December 9, 2013. Wheel bolt requires torque adjustment.
A401332 2010330-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 40 number 13-31 dated July 19, 2013. Front stabilizer bar makes noise when the vehicle is driven over bumps. The noise may be caused by the bushing sleeve separating from the stabilizer bar. The noise is generated when the bar moves up and down.
A641329 2020552-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD. Windshield is streaked, has a snakeskin appearance, or its surface feels rough. Residue from industrial fallout as well as normal road dirt and grime may accumulate on windshield.
A911302 2018187-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 11-20 dated October 21, 2011. Customer may report that cracking, grinding, rattling, humming, whining, or similar interference is coming from one or more speakers. Parts of the speakers (such as the brackets, cables, or covers) or parts of the interior fittings (such as door covers, rear shelf, facings, or covers) can vibrate at certain frequencies, causing noises. The radio tuner or other control modules may be affected by electromagnetic interference from aftermarket electronic devices.
A961367 2019260-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 12-37 dated June 11, 2012. The customer may report that the handheld transmitter cannot be programmed to the garage door opener control module, J530. The customer's door opener system may not be compatible with J530. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. In A4 Model Years 2005 - 2006 and A3 Model Year 2009, the actual location of the garage door opener control module differs from the location shown in the owner's manual (opposite side of front bumper). The customer may misunderstand the programming procedure, particularly if the customer's HomeLink® opener system is using an alternate code. The handheld transmitter's programming function may become inoperative, or the transmitter is too far away from J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. If the vehicle flashes during the programming of a handheld transmitter, this does not necessarily indicate that the programming was successful; it only indicates that the vehicle has recognized and saved a signal.
A461347 2034387-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; PARKING BRAKE. Customer may report sporadically hearing the parking brake being actuated after the vehicle has been switched off. If the customer does not identify the sound as the sound of the parking brake being actuated, he or she may simply complain of hearing noises from the rear brakes. Ignition is switched off. Steering is locked. Park is selected. Parking brake is not engaged. If the electro-mechanical parking brake is not operated for some time, the free play between brake pads and brake discs increases because of normal brake pad wear. The parking brake control unit performs an automatic correction about every 621 miles (1,000 km). On A8 models, the brake pad thickness is also calculated.
A401331 2010330-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 40 number 08-11 dated November 14, 2008. Front stabilizer bar makes noise when the vehicle is driven over bumps. The noise may be caused by the bushing sleeve separating from the stabilizer bar. The noise is generated when the bar moves up and down.
A371309 2028715-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 12-40 dated February 28, 2012. Rough gear changes, both when accelerating and when slowing down. There is a rough driving power disruption that occurs sporadically and lasts for less than a second. After a mechatronics, torque converter, or complete gearbox replacement, the clutches must be adapted to the new component. This requires a gradual move of the clutch linings toward the optimal operating points in the most diverse load conditions. As a result, sporadic driving power disruptions lasting for less than a second or reduced shift comfort are possible over the first 500 miles. This is normal, and these issues will decrease over time. The issues can also occur if the adaptation values of the gearbox were deleted.
A571382 2017082-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 11-55 dated August 22, 2011. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders.
A001348 2002047-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 11-19 dated April 8, 2011. This TSB contains information on technician preparation when calling the Audi Technical Assistance Center
