Service bulletins for the 2013 Audi S8

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

809 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

A201794 2043357-2018-02-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. This technical service bulletin provides a software code for correcting an issue that causes DTC P046100.
A201559 2011703-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 20 number 13-29 dated November 15, 2013. The fuel tank has been removed from the vehicle and must be neutralized before shipment or disposal. When the fuel tank in a vehicle is replaced, the original tank must be properly flushed to neutralize the remaining gasoline or diesel fuel.
A171568 2028440-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 14-49 dated April 3, 2014. When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer.
A011309 2014753-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 10-01 dated February 5, 2010. Excessive accumulation of deposits on intake valves, intake manifold, fuel injectors and combustion chambers. Engine runs rough after cold start. Excessive engine cranking time. Hesitations while driving. Rough engine idle. Reduced engine performance. Poor fuel economy. Conditions may be severe enough to illuminate the MIL in conjunction with storage of DTCs for misfire (example: P0300, P030x) and / or lean fuel system (example: P0171, P0174, P1128, P1130, P1136, P1138) in the engine control module (ECM). Condition may be caused by use of contaminated gasoline. Condition may be caused by use of gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives.
A011336 2035235-2017-10-31. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP; ENGINE. The customer reports that the engine warning light illuminates sporadically. The engine may have reduced performance without significant loss of power or stalling. Noise is heard coming from the engine compartment, specifically from the High Pressure Fuel Pumps 2. DTCs are stored in the engine control module (ECM). The fuel metering valve of the high-pressure fuel pump is controlled by a specific on/off ratio. If there is a low system voltage, the on/off ratio may not be enough to keep the fuel metering valve constant in all areas. In such a situation, the fuel metering valve is deactivated and the high-pressure fuel pump switches to full supply mode. Because the increased rail pressure does not match the respective driving situation, the DTC appears.
A011514 2014753-2017-10-21. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-09 dated June 21, 2013. The use of contaminated gasoline or gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives may result in excessive accumulation of deposits on intake valves, intake manifold, fuel injectors, and combustion chambers, engine running rough after cold start, excessive engine cranking time, hesitations while driving, rough engine idle, Reduced engine performance, and/or Poor fuel economy. Conditions may be severe enough to illuminate the MIL in conjunction with storage of DTCs for misfire, lean fuel system, or air/fuel ratio imbalance in the engine control module. Condition may be caused by use of contaminated gasoline. Condition may be caused by use of gasoline with a low content of deposit control additives.
A191673204545612017-02-15. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. THIS IS AN INFORMATION BULLETIN REGARDING PROCEDURE FOR WHEN THE TECHNICIAN FINDS COOLANT MARKS DURING A REPAIR.
TSB-01-13-362014-01-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:FUEL RAIL. AUDI: SOME VEHICLES ENGINE WARNING LIGHT SPORADICALLY ILLUMINATES, WOULD HAVE REDUCED PERFORMANCE WITHOUT LOSS OF POWER/STALLING OR NOISE COMING FROM ENGINE COMPARTMENT DUE TO LOW SYSTEM VOLTAGE, AND NOT ENOUGH ON/OFF RATIO TO KEEP FUEL METERING VALVE CONSTANT IN ALL AREAS, THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE NEED TO BE UPDATED. MODEL 2013-2014 S6, S7, A8, S8. *PE
