Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi S4

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

724 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

A371430 2003658-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY:PEDAL/HAND LEVER(MOTORCYCLE). Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 13-07 dated May 29, 2013. Customer states that the engine returns to idle speed of approximately 1,400 RPM although the accelerator is depressed, and/or the vehicle hesitates (lacks power on take-off). No DTCs are stored. This condition may be caused when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed simultaneously. Drivers who drive with their left foot resting on the brake pedal are prone to experience this condition.
Executive Servic2017-10-27. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FLUID; POWER TRAIN; STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:POWER STEERING FLUID. This document contains a fluid capacity chart as well as a chart that contains the parts and part numbers needed for service.
A011526 2041120-2017-10-25. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). The MIL is on. DTC P042000 and/or P043000 (Catalyst system Bank 1/2, Efficiency below threshold) is stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 01). The diagnostic limitations were too narrow.
A151526 2039995-2017-10-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE; POWER TRAIN. Rattling noises are heard from the timing chain drive for about 1-3 seconds after the first engine start of the day. A371775 2039267-2017-10-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN. This bulletin contains software update information for the transmission when a bump can be felt just after the vehicle is brought to a stop or when a rattle noise is heard at idle speed.
A351619 2032211-2017-10-04. Service bulletin. STEERING:GEAR BOX (OTHER THAN RACK AND PINION); POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Gearbox warning light on (DTCs P179E00, P179F00, P0700, P060A). The driver information system displays the message "gearbox malfunction: you can continue driving". There are two scenarios present. Scenario 1 is that entries are logged individually or in combination, with P179E logged first (using DTC environmental data). The entries are DTC P179E (Drive position sensor electrical error), DTC P0700 with DFCC 20196 (Transmission control system malfunction), DTC P1758 with DFCC 8464 (Terminal 15 voltage supply open circuit), and DTC P060A with DFCC 8126, 8345 (Internal control module monitoring processor performance) In this scenario, if DTC P179E is not logged first, this TSB does not apply. Scenario 2 is that entries are logged individually or in combination. The order in which the DTCs are logged is not relevant. The entries are DTC P179E with DFCC 8050, 8051, 8052, 8053, 17595, 17596, 17597, 17598, 17602 (Drive position sensor electrical error), DTC P179F with DFCC 8054, 8055, 8056, 8057, 17599, 17600, 17601 (Drive position sensor malfunction), DTC P0716 with DFCC 8096, 8101, 18153, 20738 (Input turbine/speed sensor ?A? circ. range/performance), DTC P171F with DFCC 8097, 8102, 18154 (Transmission input speed (RPM) sensor 2 implausible signal), DTC P0715 with DFCC 8094, 8103, 18161 (Input turbine/speed sensor ?A? circuit.), DTC P2765 with DFCC 8095, 8104 (Input turbine/speed sensor ?B? circuit), DTC P0501 with DFCC 8098 (Vehicle speed sensor ?A? range/performance), and DTC P2159 with DFCC 8099 (Vehicle speed sensor ?B? range/performance). Fault codes and DFCC codes must match exactly for this TSB to apply. The DFCC is the 4-6 digit code that is typically listed before the fault code. Incorrect driving mode sensor module.
