Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi A8

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

1325 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

1441203507362022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The NVLD pressure switch may erroneously detect a very small leak.
1440203383622022-08-01. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Beginning with MY2009, the filler necks of various TDI clean diesel vehicles were equipped with a misfueling guard (Figure 1). The guard minimizes the likelihood that fuel other than ultra-low sulfur diesel will be put into the vehicle. The misfueling guard is designed to remain in a locked position when a nozzle with a diameter typically suited for non-diesel fuels (approximately 13/16?, or 20.6mm) is inserted, to prevent further insertion of the nozzle into the filler neck. A nozzle with a larger diameter typically suited for diesel fuel (approximately 15/16?, or 23.8mm) will unlock the misfueling guard when inserted, allowing the nozzle to be further inserted into the filler neck.
1438203811322022-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Various parts have been replaced under warranty for the condition noted above, but no issues were identified with these parts. In an effort to gain information on the DTC code listed above, we are asking that you contact the Audi Technical Assistance Center (TAC) before replacing any parts. This will assist us in diagnosing any potential issues with the condition noted above.

1453203901812022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. A small amount of dry or crusted coolant is seen on the coolant pump housing (Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3). The coolant level warning is not on. A minor coolant leak is possible during the break-in phase of the coolant seal on the coolant pump. The dry coolant marks are normal.
1451203799412022-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. In certain operating conditions, a function in the internal thermal management system can increase the engine temperature. Updated engine control module (ECM) software.
1449203685212022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The cooling fans may operate for up to 10 minutes after the engine is turned off. This function is mapped to specific driving patterns and vehicle operating modes (for example, DPF regeneration). This is normal operation, and no parts should be replaced.
1453203812922022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION. A check with the engine oil service dipstick T40178 is necessary, but the adjustment values for the dipstick are not available in the Elsa repair manual. Because of a system change, the adjustment values for the service dipstick T40178 were removed from the repair manual.

1449202844022022-08-01. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:DISPLAY FUNCTION. The customer complains of one or more of the following issues: ? When the vehicle is completely refueled, the vehicle range (?distance to empty?) that is displayed is different than the vehicle range that was displayed the last time the vehicle was completely refueled. ? The displayed vehicle range drops inconsistently. ? After the vehicle is refueled, the displayed vehicle range does not change for a long period of time. ? When the vehicle is driven on hilly roads for a long period of time, the displayed vehicle range suddenly changes by a significant amount. ? There are no DTCs related to fuel senders stored in the instrument cluster control module, J285 (address word 17). This condition does not involve or affect the accuracy of the fuel level indicator, but only the estimated distance to empty display on the on-board computer.
1347203546322022-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine, and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner?s Manual for specific break-in procedures.
1344203546312022-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; BACK OVER PREVENTION. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, and the ambient temperature and road conditions. Additional factors include the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil. Utilizing the advanced sensor technology integrated in models equipped with the 3.0 TFSI engine, it is possible to measure oil consumption electronically via a Guided Function test plan.
1498203816612022-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. The programmed values for the misfire adaption are not automatically reset when the memory is deleted. The adaption must be reset after the engine is installed.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
