A001458 2026692-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 12-43 dated December 21, 2012. If a 2012 - 2015 Audi A8 L W12 arrives at an Audi dealership and requires diagnosis or repair, a Repair Authorization must be obtained. Prior to any repair, a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) ticket must be created for engine and transmission concerns only. Routine maintenance and PDI do not require prior authorization or a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) ticket. These procedures are mandatory until further notice. Warranty repairs without repair authorization via a TAC contact will not be reimbursed.

Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 24 number 12-11 dated January 25, 2012. MIL on, often illuminating at temperatures below 0°C/32°F. DTC is store in the engine control module. Optimized software in the engine control module.

Customer may report transmission warning light is illuminated. In some cases, the vehicle will not move after being started and placed into gear. After key cycle, the vehicle drives without restriction. DTCs is stored in the transmission control module (TCM). If DFCCs do not match exactly, this TSB does not apply.

Various noises, such as humming, vibration, and/or rattling are heard coming from under the vehicle or from near the center console area. The noises may appear when the vehicle is driven at highway speeds, during hard acceleration when RPMs are high, during deceleration from 40 mph, or during acceleration from a stop.
