Service bulletins for the 2012 Audi A5

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

1064 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

011403203322332022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
011373203322312022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Engine warning light on after engine replacement
011330202708252022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. DTC P0234 (Turbo/Super Charger Overboost Condition) is stored in the engine control module, J623 (address word 01). No other DTCs are stored. Technical Background DTC P0234 can be set inadvertently by the software application.
001463203357622022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION: OIL COOLER. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
001459202973722022-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION. When oil is drained through the drain plug, the oil might spill on components around the oil pan area. If it is not properly cleaned up, this spilled oil could drip after the procedure is complete, causing unnecessary customer complaints.

011463203363022022-09-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Because there are a number of different misfire faults (unrelated to ignition coil operation) that could cause the MIL to illuminate, proper Guided Fault Finding (GFF) misfire diagnosis must be followed before any ignition coils are replaced.

1418203124572022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM); EQUIPMENT. Under certain driving conditions, the linkage for the waste gate actuation can encounter excessive wear which leads to play at the waste gate flap. This leads to boost escaping through a loose flap, which sets DTC P029900 (Negative Pressure Deviation).
1314203124552022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Under certain driving conditions, the linkage for the waste gate actuation can encounter excessive wear which leads to play at the waste gate flap. 1225203160712022-08-01. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. To ensure mobility, a small amount of fuel is still available when a fuel range of zero miles is initially displayed. Additionally, the fuel range is calculated based on the most recent driving style. Therefore, the actual amount of fuel remaining may vary when a fuel range of zero is initially displayed.
1453203901812022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. A small amount of dry or crusted coolant is seen on the coolant pump housing (Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3). The coolant level warning is not on. A minor coolant leak is possible during the break-in phase of the coolant seal on the coolant pump. The dry coolant marks are normal.
1336203349112022-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Customer may report coolant leaking from the engine area. The leak can be traced to the connection of the water pump and the hose leading to the heater core (Figure 1). The seal ring is not the cause of the leak.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
