Service bulletins for the 2011 Audi A5
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A011330 2027082- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 24 number 12-28 dated April 24, 2012. MIL on. DTC P0234 (Turbo/Super Charger Overboost Condition) is stored in the engine control module, J623 (address word 01). No other DTCs are stored. DTC P0234 can be set inadvertently by the software application. DTC P0234 can be set with an actual cause in combination with loss of engine power and low/uneven engine performance, based on charge pressure control. |

| A011329 2033223- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-73 dated March 7, 2013. The engine warning light is on after engine replacement. The engine is not running roughly. However, the engine control module, J623 (01), is storing one or more of the following engine misfire fault codes: DTCs P0300 - P0304. The fault codes occur at light load, between 8% and 14% accelerator pedal position. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once. |
| A691326 2023323- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 69 number 12-25 dated April 25, 2012. After the airbag control module (J234) has been replaced, the control unit cannot be coded via SVM spec/actual. An SVM code is required to code and parameterize the new service replacement airbag control module. Each model?s SVM code is provided in a parts bulletin (GP bulletin), which should have been referenced through ETKA when the module was replaced. The control module cannot be coded until the SVM code has been executed. |
| A571397 2022032- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 13-92 dated August 1, 2013. The lock command history is stored in the convenience system control module (J393). |
| A271319 2029010- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-13 dated March 22, 2012. The customer may report a discharged battery when trying to start the vehicle. The condition results in a no start. |
| A271318 2023282- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 27 number 12-10 dated February 13, 2012. Battery testing and charging for vehicles equipped with a Battery Data Manager (BDM - J367). When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in auto mode, it performs a battery condition test and may prematurely fail the battery if the charging takes place at the jumper posts in the engine compartment. This is due to the added resistance in the system between the battery and jumper posts. When the InCharge 940 is used as a battery charger in manual mode, the battery condition test is not performed. |
| A171343 2027731- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 13-42 dated October 10, 2013. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner?s Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil. Under certain driving conditions, internal engine pressure conditions in the 2.0 TFSI engine can negatively influence the rate of oil consumption. This condition can occur while the vehicle is operated in metro driving conditions; for example: stop-and-go traffic with extended idle periods. |
| A171342 2027731- | 2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 10 number 12-05 dated March 20, 2012.
