Service bulletins for the 2010 Audi A4
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A011491 2028842- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Customer vehicle is fitted with unauthorized ECM tuning. All systems on Audi vehicles are engineered to work together using the factory calibrations, which have been extensively tested and validated before the vehicle is released for sale. The Audi warranty coverage is based on the results of developing the vehicle under the factory calibration. If a vehicle is equipped with unauthorized hardware or software tuning, it can cause stress on vehicle components outside of intended design limits, and can cause damage and additional wear. Subsequently, factory powertrain warranty coverage is reduced or voided. |

| A921409 2038151- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 92 number 14-08 dated August 19, 2014. The washer solvent level warning is on in the DIS, but the washer solvent level is correct. There is no functional restriction in the windshield washer system. The sensitivity of the washer solvent level sensor (G33) can be affected by the type, concentration, and the presence of additives in the washer solvent currently in the tank. The operation of the level sensor relies on the composition of the solvent to provide an accurate message on the solvent level. Incorrect concentration and the presence of additives can contaminate the sensor and reduce its sensitivity. |

| A871344 2020124- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 87 number 13-43 dated July 12, 2013. Air conditioning is inoperative. The HVAC blower functions normally. The A/C pressure/temperature sensor, G395, leaks refrigerant. This causes sensor G395 to show an incorrect or implausible value when reading MVBs. An incorrect signal or a low refrigerant level in the system can cause the air conditioning compressor to deactivate. Battery discharged; however, when charged, there is no bus silence when vehicle ignition is off. The LIN cable connecting the vehicle electrical system control module, J519, to sensor G395 is pinched or cut. This affects the A4/S4, A5/S5 Coupe and Cabriolet, and Q5 vehicles. The A6 and A8 are not affected by this type of failure. The pressure sensor G395/G65 sends an incorrect signal that prevents bus silence and the battery is discharged. Sensor G395 is a LIN slave of the vehicle electrical system control module. The vehicle electrical system control module transfers the information provided by the sensor via the comfort data bus to the climate control module, J255. |
| A911302 2018187- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 11-20 dated October 21, 2011. Customer may report that cracking, grinding, rattling, humming, whining, or similar interference is coming from one or more speakers. Parts of the speakers (such as the brackets, cables, or covers) or parts of the interior fittings (such as door covers, rear shelf, facings, or covers) can vibrate at certain frequencies, causing noises. The radio tuner or other control modules may be affected by electromagnetic interference from aftermarket electronic devices. |
| A911397 2034926- | 2017-12-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. MMI system is sporadically inoperative or freezes. No audio from all audio sources (for vehicles with base sound system) or no audio from AM, FM, and satellite radio (for vehicles with Bose or Bang & Olufsen sound system). This TSB does not apply to vehicles with a separate amplifier and the complaint "no audio from all audio sources." Bluetooth is inoperative or loses connection. Bluetooth phone does not download contacts and/or call stacks. Satellite radio band is not available in band selection screen. Satellite radio presets sporadically disappear. When starting the 3G MMI system, the start screen does not appear and only the time is shown. This bulletin only applies to vehicles with Navigation Plus (PR Number 8DY). The applicable vehicles can be clearly identified by the controller located in the center console. Continual improvements to MMI software provides solutions to issues experienced in the field. |
