A171336 2030197-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 12-34 dated December 12, 2012. Customer complains of excessive oil consumption. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner's Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature, and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil. Under certain driving conditions, internal engine pressure conditions in the 3.0 TFSI engine can negatively influence the rate of oil consumption. This can occur while the vehicle is operated in city driving conditions, for example: stop and go traffic with extended idle periods.
A851316 2033596-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. The fresh air blower is inoperative. DTCs may be stored in the heating and air conditioning electronics control module (address word 08). Malfunctions of the fresh air blower could be caused by a faulty printed circuit board in the fresh air blower control module and the carbon brushes bind in the brush holder and, as a consequence, lose contact with the motor commutator of the fresh air blower.
A281321 2017555-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 28 number 12-19 dated May 1, 2012. The master key with remote control does not engage or stay in the ignition lock. On vehicles without Advanced Key, the remote keys are inoperable. Keyless unlocking/locking using the door handle and keyless opening of the trunk lid using the trunk handle are inoperable. The vehicle cannot be started with the Start/Stop button. The remote keys are inoperable. The message "ignition lock faulty" may appear in the instrument cluster driver information display. DTC 00166 (Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415- Incorrect Signal) may be stored in Comfort System Central Control Module J393 (address word 46). It is possible that objects have been inserted into the ignition lock, which causes the slide of the ignition lock to become stuck in the rear part of the lock (S-contact position). The stuck slide is not allowed to return to the starting point (0-position).
A211313 2031245-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 21 number 13-12 dated April 1, 2013. MIL on, DTC P0299 (Negative Pressure Deviation) is stored. Turbocharger waste gate flap has play. Under certain driving conditions, the linkage for the waste gate actuation can encounter excessive wear which leads to play at the waste gate flap. This leads to boost escaping through a loose flap, which sets DTC P0299 (Negative Pressure Deviation).
A211312 2031245-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 21 number 13-11 dated March 6, 2013.
A191336 2033491-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Customer may report coolant leaking from the engine area. The leak can be traced to the connection of the water pump and the hose leading to the heater core. The seal ring is not the cause of the leak.
A011386 2033630-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ENGINE. MIL on. Rough idle. DTCs are stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM), J623 (address word 01). Engine may have reduced performance without significant loss of power or stalling. Because there are a number of different misfire faults (unrelated to ignition coil operation) that could cause the MIL to illuminate, proper Guided Fault Finding (GFF) misfire diagnosis must be followed before any ignition coils are replaced.
A001348 2002047-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 00 number 11-19 dated April 8, 2011. This TSB contains information on technician preparation when calling the Audi Technical Assistance Center

However, the engine control module, J623 (01), is storing one or more of the following engine misfire fault codes: DTCs P0300 - P0304. The fault codes occur at light load, between 8% and 14% accelerator pedal position. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
A011383 2033001-2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM. MIL on. DTC P0491 and P0492 (Secondary Air System Insufficient Flow, Bank 1/2) are stored at the same time. Mileage is greater than 15,000 miles. Under certain driving conditions, the secondary air ports in the cylinder head can accumulate carbon over time, causing a restriction.
