Service bulletins for the 2014 Audi A4 allroad

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A901238 2032113-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. The customer may state that the outside ambient temperature display is incorrect. To achieve a smoothening effect of the displayed outside ambient temperature, the value shown does not instantaneously follow the temperature sensor measurement. The display will not change faster than 4° F (2° C) per minute. This concept applies to both falling and rising temperatures. A programming strategy is also implemented to avoid incorrect readings on a parked vehicle, due to the temperature sensor being affected by outside influences such as radiant heat from the engine bay, elevated road surface temperatures, etc.

No DTC entry is logged. This bulletin should be performed before any other bulletins that cover specific customer complaints. If the GPS antenna cable became partially connected during assembly or during a repair, it may still function. But, the partially-connected cable can cause an intermittent issue that does not cause a DTC to be logged.

The folds of the outer rubber boots on the front axle shafts may come in contact with each other when the steering wheel is turned, causing squeaking noises. These noises are more likely to occur when the vehicle is new. The volume and occurrence of the noise will dissipate after a short break-in period.
A261423 2037812-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. Rattling noises are heard coming from underneath the vehicle. These noises may be a result of contact between an exhaust heat shield and the body of the vehicle.

When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
A911446 2033313-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 96 number 13-54 dated March 15, 2013. DTCs are logged in the distance regulation control module, J428 (13). Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is deactivated when the radar sensor does not see any objects for an extended period of time (varies based on environmental conditions). The most common cause for this type of deactivation is that the field of vision of the radar sensor is blocked.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
