Customer Only (Retail Sold) USA ONLY - The Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board have determined that Audi A3 vehicles equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder TDI engine do not comply with applicable emissions regulations. The emissions control systems on the vehicles will not control emissions under off-cycle conditions as effectively as during the federal test procedure. The extent of the emissions increase under off-cycle conditions depends upon how the vehicles are driven.

Inlet Air Box Housing Snow Flap Replacement & Oxygen Sensor Inspection/Replacement - The snow flap in the inlet air box housing may remain partially to fully open. Should this occur, excess warm air could enter the air intake through the snow flap inlet. The oxygen sensor will be checked during this service and, if measured degradation tolerances are met, the sensor will be replaced.

A001349 2033576-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Although the correct amount of oil was added to the engine during an oil change service, a check of the oil level shows that the oil level is not okay. When an unapproved aftermarket speed-filling device is used to add oil to the engine, the increased oil flow rate may force oil into the intake manifold or combustion chamber, creating the potential for engine damage.
A191453 2039018-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. A small amount of dry or crusted coolant is seen on the coolant pump housing. The coolant level warning is not on. A minor coolant leak is possible during the break-in phase of the coolant seal on the coolant pump. The dry coolant marks are normal.

A check with the engine oil service dipstick T40178 is necessary, but the adjustment values for the dipstick are not available in the Elsa repair manual. Because of a system change, the adjustment values for the service dipstick T40178 were removed from the repair manual.
A011403 2033223-2017-12-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 01 number 13-29 dated September 16, 2013. The engine warning light is on after engine replacement. The engine is not running roughly. However, the engine control module, J623 (address word 01), is storing one or more engine misfire fault codes. The fault codes occur at light load, between 8% and 14% accelerator pedal position. The programmed values for the misfiring recognition are not automatically reset by deleting the memory once.
