A011455 2036169-2017-11-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. The MIL is on. DTC P0087 may be stored in the ECM. Drivability concerns such as hard starting/no starting are present. Outside temperature is sub-freezing. In tank, fuel pump may be making a straining noise. Diesel fuel requires additive blending or ?winterization? to be useable at low temperatures. At temperatures below 20° F (-7° C), No. 2 Diesel with insufficient winterization blending may lose its fluidity due to wax separation. This may clog the fuel filter or in-tank filter, preventing the engine from operating properly. No. 2 Diesel is blended by refineries to various levels of winterization (minimum useable temperature) based on month, geographical location, and the 10th percentile minimum ambient air temperature for the given region. Although rare, during sudden periods of extreme low temperatures (record lows), fuel stations may not be adequately prepared with No. 2 Diesel fuel with sufficient winterization to resist wax formation or ?gelling?.

Wheel bolt requires torque adjustment. Torque sticks, torque extension bars, and impact guns/wrenches are not approved by Audi of America, Inc., and should not be used to apply torque to wheel bolts. Always use a calibrated torque wrench to attain the correct wheel bolt torque and follow the proper wheel tightening procedure as outlined in Elsa. Proper use of a calibrated torque wrench ensures that all wheel bolts are tightened equally and reduces the chances of repeat repairs. Using methods other than a calibrated torque wrench to attain correct wheel bolt torque may lead to problems.
Customer Letter2017-10-31. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. a faulty intake manifold may cause the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on the instrument cluster to illuminate due to the presence of specific fault codes caused by this component and/or a faulty fuel injector may cause minor misfire conditions and, in turn, cause the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on the instrument cluster to illuminate due to the presence of specific fault codes caused by this component. Please note that it is highly unlikely that your vehicle will experience an issue with both the intake manifold and/or multiple fuel injectors at the same time. In our continuing efforts to assure proper performance of Audi vehicles, your dealer will diagnose and replace a faulty intake manifold and/or a faulty fuel injector if necessary, at no cost to you as long as the vehicle remains within the time and mileage limits of this warranty extension. Campaign Circula2017-10-31. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Owner manual supplement information added. As diesel engine passenger vehicles become more popular, auto manufacturers have seen an increase in the number of misfueling cases where diesel engine vehicles are mistakenly fueled with gasoline. The resulting fuel system contamination can lead to costly repairs that are not covered under warranty. As an additional safeguard to help prevent a gasoline fuel pump nozzle from being used to fuel a TDI® Clean Diesel engine vehicle, dealers will install a misfueling guard in the fuel filler neck of vehicles affected by this action. Additionally, a new fuel filler neck cap will also be installed. Please note: The misfueling guard is designed to prevent a gasoline fuel pump nozzle from entering a vehicle?s fuel filler neck, thereby reducing the risk of fuel system contamination from gasoline. Even with this guard installed, remind anyone who refuels the vehicle that it requires diesel fuel, and to double-check the fuel pump to ensure the correct fuel is selected before filling the tank.
