THIS SERVICE PROGRAM IS BEING RELEASED TO CONSUMMATE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN VOLVO TRUCK CORPORATION (VTC) AND THE US ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (EPA). UNDER THIS AGREEMENT, VTC WILL MAKE AVAILABLE ENGINE REBUILD KITS TO LOWER THE AMOUNT OF NOX (OXIDES OF NITROGEN) IN THE EXHAUST FROM THE VE D12 MODEL YEAR 1998 ENGINES, SOLD IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND CANADA. THIS SERVICE PROGRAM HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN ORDER TO REPROGRAM A NUMBER OF THESE OLDER VE D12 ENGINES, ACCORDING TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE EPA. *TT
