Service bulletin 2625
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
SOME VEHICLE OPERATORS HAVE REPORTED VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION HAVE SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR. ONE POSSIBLE PROBLEM IS THE BATTERY CABLE ROUTING OUT OF THE BATTERY BOX. ANOTHER KNOWN PROBLEM IS AN ENGINE WIRING HARNESS ROUTING. IN BOTH CASES, NO INTERFERENCE EXISTED WHILE THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN NEUTRAL. WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHIFTED INTO CERTAIN GEARS, THERE WAS AN INTERFERENCE WITH ONE OF THE LEVERS THAT WOULD NOT ALLOW THE GEAR TO BE FULLY ENGAGED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD ENCOUNTER A BUMP, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD APPEAR TO JUMP OUT OF GEAR. THIS SERVICE BULLETIN CONTAINS PROCEDURES TO HELP PREVENT VEHICLES FROM SLIPPING OUT OF GEAR. *TT
