Service bulletin 95WS001

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

BETWEEN JULY 21, 1993 AND SEPTEMBER 20, 1995 THE MANUFACTURER OF THE 26 INCH DIAMETER FUEL TANK STRAPS BUILT THE PARTS OUTSIDE THE PRINT SPECIFICATIONS IN THAT THE LOCATION OF THE STEP BRACKET WAS INCORRECT. THIS DOES NOT IN ANY WAY COMPROMISE THE INTEGRITY OR PERFORMANCE OF THE STRAP NOR THE STEP BUT DOES REQUIRE THAT IF A STRAP IS REPLACED, THAT IT BE REPLACED WITH ONE WITH A MATCHING STEP BRACKET LOCATION.
