Service bulletin CAMP95C1

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

ALLISON TRANSMISSION HAS DETERMINED THAT VEHICLES WHICH UTILIZE THE B 500/HD 4000 SERIES TRANSMISSION TORQUE CONVERTER HOUSING SIDE MOUNT PADS TO SUPPORT THE POWERPACK MAY CREATE A CRACK AROUND THE MOUNTING PAD. THIS CRACK MAY EVENTUALLY CAUSE THE PAD TO BREAK AWAY FROM THE CONVERTER HOUSING. TO CORRECT THIS SITUATION, A CASTING CHANGE ON THE TORQUE CONVERTER HOUSING WAS INTRODUCED INTO PRODUCTION BEGINNING WITH S/N 6610001371 FOR STANDARD TORQUE CONVERTER HOUSINGS AND S/N 6610001865 FOR PTO TORQUE CONVERTER HOUSINGS.*SD
