Service bulletin TSB-043 Rev B

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This bulletin supersedes Bulletin TSB-043 dated 09/01/2021. The original bulletin addressed a concern with false activation of the PAS valve due to gas accumulation. The recommendation was to provide an alternate vent path. It has come to our attention that this alternate vent path that was introduced may be responsible for allowing water to be introduced into the PRD vent system. The presence of water may damage the PRD assembly and affect its ability to function. This bulletin is being revised to retract the previous recommendation to provide an alternate vent path and to clean and inspect any systems that were modified or built with drilled vent riser pipes. This bulletin is also directing that any drilled vent riser pipes should be replaced with non-drilled vent riser pipes.

The document

The document is the manufacturer's. This site does not hold it. NHTSA files a document at one of these two addresses; we have not asked NHTSA which.
