# Service bulletin SSM 55116

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Some of the following vehicles: \* 2025\-2026 Expedition/Navigator built on or after 02\-Feb\-2025 \* 2025\-2026 F\-Super Duty built on or after 02\-Feb\-2025 \* 2025\-2026 Explorer/Aviator built on or after 02\-Feb\-2025 \* 2025\-2026 Nautilus built on or after 17\-Feb\-2025 \* 2025\-2026 F\-150 built on or after 16\-Jul\-2025 may exhibit all of the following symptoms: \- "No Key Detected" message displayed on the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\) \- Key fob does not work in the backup slot. \- Remote keyless entry \(RKE\) \(lock and unlock from the key fob\) functionality will work to lock/unlock the vehicle. If the vehicle exhibits these symptoms, manually enter the vehicle identification number \(VIN\) into the VIN entry dialog in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) and then start a session using the Vehicle Communication Module \(VCM\) II, VCM 3, Vehicle Communication and Measurement Module \(VCMM\) or later level device with a universal serial bus \(USB\) cable disconnected from the laptop. Download the "BCM \- Body Control Module \(BCM\) Hardware Test" app

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 55241](/bulletins/11038446.md), 2026-10-13, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2025\-2027 Aviator vehicles may exhibit a "Door Fault Service Required", "Transmission Not In Park" and/or "Hill Start Assist Not Available" message in the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\) with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) B1262:92 stored in multiple door latch control modules \(DCME, DCMF, DCMG, and/or DCMH\). DTC U0504 may also be stored in the gearshift module \(GSM\). This may be due to the software in the door latch control modules. To correct this condition, download and run the following applications using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) scan tool.\<br /\> "DCME \- Door Control Module E \(DCME\) Software Update"\<br /\> "DCMF \- Door Control Module F \(DCMF\) Software Update"\<br /\> "DCMG \- Door Control Module G \(DCMG\) Software Update"\<br /\> "DCMH \- Door Control Module H \(DCMH\) Software Update"\<br /\> For claiming use causal part 54219A65 and labor operation MT54219SSM up to 0.5 hours.

Some 2023\-2026 F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a trailer brake control module and built on or before 08\-May\-2026 may exhibit a "Trailer Disconnected" message after cycling the ignition off and back on with a trailer connected. This may be due to the presence of an integrated battery charger on a trailer equipped with electric over hydraulic brakes. If trailer functionality is restored after unplugging and plugging the trailer connector back in while the ignition is on, this condition can be corrected by downloading and performing the "Trailer Brake Configuration" application using the latest software version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 19H332 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4. Some 2024\-2026 Nautilus and 2025\-2026 Explorer/Aviator/Expedition/Navigator vehicles may experience Android Auto connection or general Bluetooth pairing concerns for both Android and IOS after an APIM software update. This may be due to the APIM software. To temporarily correct the issue:\<br /\>\<br /\> \* For Android Auto related issues: Clear Android Auto app storage in the center display screen. - [SSM 55208](/bulletins/11037569.md), 2026-09-30, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2024\-2026 F\-150, 2025 Explorer/Aviator, 2025\-2026 Expedition/Navigator, or 2026 F\-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) U211B:43:48 stored in the body control module \(BCM\) when performing a Self\-Test. This DTC sets due to an internal BCM timing issue during the self\-test process. This specific code has no customer impact and does not cause any drivability concerns or warning messages. Clearing DTC U211B:43:48, reprogramming the BCM, or replacing the BCM is unlikely to prevent this DTC from setting. This DTC does not trigger a condition covered under warranty. Note: This guidance only applies to U211B with the specific failure byte 43 in status 48. Any other trusted real\-time operation network \(TRON\) DTCs or different failure bytes associated with U211B are still applicable and technicians must follow Workshop Manual \(WSM\) normal diagnostics for those DTCs.
