# Service campaign M1731

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

SERVICE BULLETIN M1731: PRODUCT PROGRAM 0931 \- 2025 SOFTAIL OIL DIPSTICK. PURPOSE: Initial Release. This bulletin informs dealers that Harley\-Davidson has chosen to offer a replacement dipstick for 2025 Softail motorcycles. When used with a new oil level check procedure \(check Upright instead of on Jiffy Stand\), the new dipstick \(Part No. 62700380\) provides a more accurate reading of the oil level in the oil pan and reduces the possibility of overfilling. Harley\-Davidson is conducting a Product Program \(0931\) to offer this dipstick replacement at no charge to owners of the affected vehicles.
